I am in an old fashioned grade school type building with science labs. I am in the middle of a science class on physics and all seems to be going well when the teacher announces a "mid term"' exam that will be taken in a workbook that we have been assigned to at the beginning of class. When I open the book to the exam, I realize that I cannot find the beginning to the exam, so I attempt to solve a problem at the random page I am on, hoping to catch up to the beginning later. The pages are filled with very strange concepts and ideas and I cannot understand at all what is being asked. The questions mostly consist of long lines interspersed with dots and I am asked to write down what the "answer" is even though I cannot even begin to guess as to what the question is. The teacher explains that the exam will be very easy for anyone who attended the class and read the material, but I have never even seen the "workbook" before. I attempt to do the best answer guess. Eventually I start to understand the "gist" of some of the problems and I write down the answer to one of the questions which is the letter "M". My pencil is very thick and stubby and the "M" turns into a blurry square when I try to write it. Even sadder is that I realize going through the workbook that I find the ideas very fascinating but at the same time I have failed the class. Every student quickly finishes the test, leaves and tells the teacher on the way out how easy everything was on the test. I come up across an anatomy diagram of an inner ear in the problem set, but it does not appear to be related to physics except possibly having to do with the physics of sound waves. I then get up the courage to tell the teacher that I am going to stop the test and drop out of class. I also ask if it is possible to retake the class during the next semester, but the teacher admits that I probably would not be allowed to do so, or if allowed, it would be known that I failed the first time. An assistant of the teacher walks up to me and hands me a spoon with water in it. He points at a table filled with small children's toys and tells me to scoop up a small wax bear with the spoon without spilling any water. He then tells me to place the wax bear on top of a small sculpture made out of birthday cake. He then tells me to lean over and blow on the birthday cake sculpture. When I do so a thick cloud of smoke comes out of my mouth. End of dream.
