Sorry I never replied to your post. I was actually thinking about it, but I never got around to it I guess.
Some of the new details you added sheds new light on the dream. Since it was your mother driving and not you, it's possible the dream was saying your mother is "driving" you or guiding your life.
I usually see cars as vehicles, like the "vehicle of the soul". Mothers (and I imagine step moms) also can represent the vehicles of the soul because they carry us in the womb before we are born. Even though your stepmom didn't carry you in her womb she can still act as a substitute for your biological mom. I imagine your stepmom acts in the same capacity representing the vehicle of the soul. The soul is a vessel designed to hold the essence of who we are.
The driver of the car guides that vehicle; giving it direction. Possibly the dream is saying that it's your stepmom that's giving you guidance showing you where to take your life. This could be a good thing or a bad thing.
Sorry I misinterpreted the construction thing. Usually I don't just interpret the dream but I also like to interpret how people express themselves when they write. Sometimes the words people use when they describe things can shed light on what their unconscious is saying. Expression (i.e. writing, art, theater, etc.) can be like a consciously driven waking dream used to help the unconscious, subconscious, and the conscious mind communicate with one another.
In your last post you talk about floods. In your words , "our drive way was deeper than normal, like a flood had been through it, but it was all dry..". To me the dream might be implying that a flood had gone through the mountain. I find dreams can continue even after or before a person has had them. It's possible the dream is saying a flood had gone through that facet your dreamscape. Perhaps you went through some conflict and this flood represents an invisible force that eliminated the problem.
In the Bible floods usually represent a force of nature that cleanses; possibly removing something that was unwanted. For example, when God decided that the people of the world had become too corrupt so He sent a flood to wipe away most of creation so He could rebuild the world anew. The flood in your dream could suggest that some greater problem was wiped away, and your seeing the aftermath. In my dreams, that's how I usually interpret the image of floods. I know that their wasn't a flood in your actual dream though.
I probably don't know you well enough to say this, but based on what you've said and based on your dream it seems that your stepmother might be a little over-protective. This may be why she doesn't send you to public school and why she doesn't want you to meet your real parents. This might be what the dream is saying as well. Instead of letting you drive yourself, she drives you. This could help you when your young, but if she doesn't allow you to learn to drive yourself, in the long run this could hurt you significantly. Perhaps you've reached that stage when you need to start to learn to drive yourself. Perhaps not making that transition might be what's hurting you.
It's also possible that the dream is saying that your afraid not to let go of her and that's what's hurting you. Maybe it's not such a bad idea for you to leave the nest for awhile; after you've finished your home schooling. I mean experience is the best teacher right. Maybe taking up your girlfriends offer and going out into the world could help you to find yourself. Maybe experiencing the world first hand might help you to decide what you want to do with your life. I mean if things don't work out you could always move back home right?
Another possibility might be that the dream is saying that you still need your stepmother's protection. It's also possible the dream is saying that your stepmom is guiding you through the evident turmoil that you witnessed in your dream. Even though you did not see the turmoil, the flood impressed road and the blood pond could be evidence that there was some conflict. The blood in the pond could have come from someone or something that died during the conflict. Your stepmother driving you could also mean she guided you through the conflict protecting you from harm. Or was she driving towards the pond? The question is do you still need or want that protection. I'm not implying anything for or against, that's up to you.
Another interesting element you add was that she was driving you down the mountain and not up. I don't have time to get into that. I also see some relationship between your stepmom and girlfriend. Maybe there is a possible conflict in terms of letting one go to embrace the other?
In the end it's up to you to choose what direction you want to take you life. i love that I can help you by interpreting your dreams for you. One thing that helps when trying to interpret dreams in writing your dreams down in a dream journal. I hope I helped in some way. I realize my interpretations seem alittle all over the place. I apologize in advance for that.
