Ok i dreaming isn't uncommon to me, in fact i remember my dreams every night and i remember at least 2 or 3. *Some background information on me first...* *Im 19 years old, i have a stable boyfriend, live with my parents and brother* *i study law and criminal justice at university and i frequently have a LOT of nightmares* Last night i wished i hadn't remebered my dream... My dream was very vivid....It was in 2 halves definatley... One half I was living in the house im living in now, but I had two children (in real life i dont have any children) and a husband. We were pretty well off and had a maid. The maid didn't like me, i remember that point very well... This is where the dream got horrible and turned really twisted... I remember something like a boat, and my family and i were on this boat.. It suddenly started shaking and water started filling up around us all, i was gripping onto my husband and kids, and for some reason i was pulled out of the ship...(i think by the maid)...i watched and was helpless as my kids and husband screamed for help, i tried getting close to them, but the maid (i dont have a clue who she was) was holding me back saying there was nothing i could do to help them... She was covered in blood and had a manic look on her face... 2nd half of the dream.. It seemed to be later on after this accident, or like this accident had never happend, i was living in the house im in now. & i was at home with my boyfriend (the current boyfriend i have at the minute in real life) We were walking down the stairs when a random woman walked into the house (i knew her as the maid, which is weird as we dont and never had have maids) We were talking when suddenly she started shooting at us, i was pushing my boyfriend downstairs to hurry him up, then i was devastated...he was shot straight in the chest and collapsed infront of me blood pouring everywhere. This womans face was demonic she was shouting words i didnt understand and was pointing the gun at me, i picked up something on the floor that had spikes in itand smacked her on the head. Blood poured our everywhere, i ran outside. Seeing my mum i told her what happend and she went to go inside, i had a gut feeling this woman wasnt dead. pushing my mum out of the way at the last second i was shot instead...but didn't die.. i kept passing my boyfriends lifeless body on the floor and feeling a dull ache in my body, like nothing mattered any more... I wanted thiswoman dead, dragging her body into my kitchen i picked up a knife and some extreme graphic moments later i was holding her brain in my hand... finally convicned she was dead i ran to lie with my boyfriends body...to my amazement he was still alive.....i was so happy, ringing the police and an ambulance i stayed there with him and watched the ambluance puit him on a strecher and say that the bullet missed all his main arteries blah blah.. As i was walkin out i heard someone wisper "its not over yet" I turned around and a woman with no hair and no scalp and brain was standing there with a gun in her hand blood everywhere covering her. Demonic laughing look on her face, she pounded towards me, i screamed to the police...Wher they turned around exclaiming i was crazy because no-one was there all along.. I awoke from this dream sweating like anything.. Im worried to go to sleep tonight. I just don't get this dream at all?! Thanks for your time reading this.

Wow, that is horrifying. The idea of your maid attacking you or killing your family is really scary. A stranger you invite into your life, and trust to take care of your house and your family. That is some heavy betrayal. The image of your whole family on a sinking ship seems pretty heavily symbolic. Especially with the maid holding you back from saving them. Can you think of anything in your life that might be causing these feelings? Does it feel natural to connect the maid character to a person in your life? Or maybe an aspect of yourself you feel at odds with? If you don't mind, I think I'm going to move this to the Dream Interpretation forum to see if anyone has any ideas.
