      recurring dream about school and exams

      I have had similar (not exact) dreams about being back to school (I got my masters more than 10 years ago), in past 5 or 6 years (at least 3-4 times a year). In these dreams, I see myself going to a classroom or exam session, not knowing my schedule, feeling I have lost time, worried about what I'm going to do. The feeling bothers me during the dream and a little while after I wake up. Feels like I have lost an opportunity, lost time.

      Is this just a statement or are you looking for an interpretation? Sounds like you might be stressed out about something in your waking life that you might not consciously be aware of. My advice would be to use being in school as a dreamsign and to make it a goal to RC whenever you find yourself in school.

      I get dreams like this too, and others report the same. I can only guess that in our culture, there is something significant about the school experience - both the failure anxiety of exams and the general anxiety about being on time.

      I can only guess that school represents for many of us our earliest and most lasting experiences of achievement and punctuality, and any subsequent anxiety relating to either brings back these memories.

      My dreams are often laced with a knowledge that now I am adult I don't have to worry any more, and whay am I going to school. But still they happen - including one last night.
