      Lizards? WTF.

Well here's a screwed up dream. Maybe someone can explain this one to me.

About 2 hours ago I fell asleep on the couch and had a pretty lucid dream about lizards, but not high lucidity.

I dreamt I woke up, got off my couch and caught 2 baby lizards. But not the kind we normally see in the bushes, I mean the kind that run around at night, under your porch light and what not... I guess you could call them geckos.

Anyways. I was dreaming that I got 2 baby lizards, I had one in each hand. Some how after I caught them I immediately remember I was laying back down on the couch and was holding them in front of me and I was touching them together, making bite each other. I even remember them pooping in my hands, which is a weird detail to remember, I know, but that's what happens when you pickup lizards, they either poop or pee on you.

After that I remember I kind of transitioned my mind to a 3rd person view. I remember being awake and knowing I was up, but in a corner of my mind I was still dreaming that I was holding lizards and making them bite each other, then finally I snapped out of it and quickly fell back asleep.

Anyone know what this might mean? Or is just another stupid, every day dream.

The only significance I have to lizards is that we have them running around our porch all the time. I see them every night when I'm outside smoking, and sometimes they even sneak into the house and I see the baby ones in there.

Considering that you observe lizards each night as you smoke would raise the probability that this element could arise in your dreams in some form, due to a phenomenon known as day residue. Events or aspects of your everyday life will often carry over into your dreams. Frequently, you'll see the same elements more than once, in which case a dream sign can be determined to aid future attempts at lucidity.

Your mind is essentially creating a reality for you as you dream, and common aspects of your waking life serve as a good blueprint for this purpose.

From a dream interpretation perspective, lizards can signify anything from creativity and revitalization to anxiety caused by the emotions drawn from a realization of the inherently primal nature of human beings.
      While sleeping, watch.

      Hi TechDad86,

To Native Americans, Lizard is a Dreamer! That's because they like to lounge on rocks in the sun and dream away the day. Looking at Lizard from the pov of other cultures though, I find that to Greeks and Egyptians, they were symbols of divine wisdom and good fortune, while to Christians they are symbols of evil and the devil... that sounds like a couple of lizards who would want to fight it out! In Roman symbology, they slept through the winter, and so were symbols of death and resurrection. Australians have a culture hero lizard named Tarrotarro. Some also say they are tongueless and exist on dew, and so are symbols of silence.

      Shhhhh.....
