      Seeing your soulmate(?) in dreams

Since I've met my girlfriend, my dreams have become much more vivid. Maybe this happens when you're in love, I'm not really sure. I don't fall in real love too often.

I've seen her many times in my dreams, unfortunately I haven't gotten into a habit of keeping a dream log so I cannot remember many of them in great detail. The frequency with which she appears is making me feel like this could be my soulmate, because it's been months and I just can't get her out of my head. we are so alike and compatible it's frightening. It's as if I made a blueprint of my perfect woman, right down to the most subtle mannerisms.

The most recent dream has me searching through a school, I'm not exactly sure what I'm looking for. Perhaps the right class to be in, because the school seemed to be enormous and every class I went into seemed to be the wrong one. There was an overwhelming sense of danger and excitement, like something bad was going to happen but it was going to be thrilling as well. Somewhere in this dream I get the urge to find my girlfriend, and after a brief, frantic search she materializes. She's sitting at a desk with her ebow on it, leaning on her fist in your classic "bored" posture, she stares blankly out. I barely acknowledge her, just sheepishly patting her forearm and mutter something like "hey what's up". I felt a sort of calmness and safety when I found her, but I was also very shy, like I couldn't look her in the face because I might blush or something....like a 6 year old in love with his hot 1st grade teacher : )

I don't remember if she replied or anything, but that's how the dream ended.

the first time I dreamt of her frightened me. The dream was fairly simple, we were standing at some coffee shop both ordering caramel latte's. Nothing spectacular but I did get an overwhelming feeling of love, comfort, and safety from it.

the strange thing is about 3 days later I sort of unconsciouly ended up in the same situation in real life. We were standing in the exact same coffee shop as in my dreams, both wearing heavy jackets. And just like in my dream she ordered a caramel latte and stood in front of me as she reached out and got it. When this happened I almost froze with shock, never in my life has a dream played out exactly like this in real life. Everything was the same as the dream, right down to the look of the store. of course I had to order the same caramel to complete the experience. But it was so bizarre.

so what do you make of these 2 experiences?

Allow me to be the first to say, welcome to DreamViews, only1!

There are a lot of us here who have apparently had similar ephemeral onsets of prophetic dreams...

I think it's very interesting, and as a general rule, you should perhaps try and hone your abilites with the aid of lucidity, and perhaps some meditation. Couldn't hurt.

Overall, my humblest congratulations, and best wishes for the both of you! How lucky!

See you around! Just call me Ramu -- plus any [suitable] honorific you like ^_~

      Welcome Only1

My wife tends to have these precognitive/deja vu type dreams
In fact, she claims that she dreamt of one of her schools before she attended it.
When she began attending that school, she knew her way around everywhere

She's also had dreams that she told me about, and a few days later have come true, in an unusual way.
Eg. She dreamt of the whole family being together in an unlikely place, with an elevator, a big room and a nearby coffee shop in a particular suburb.
Turns out... thats what happened. She had that deja vu feeling with the elevator, and then the dream and all linked up.
We were at a wedding reception, at a hotel. It was a greek wedding, so things were a little unusual. And most of the family was there.
And it was in the correct suburb - a suburb we never go to

Anyway, I find them very interesting
