Dreams About A Decaying Tooth Falling Out

I'm wondering if someone could help me with this... last night I dreamed that a tooth came out in my hand.

Usually when I dream of tooth/teeth falling out, I feel scared or horrified, etc. But this time, I felt relieved. What happened is that basically, I was brushing my teeth or gargling or something (it's a little fuzzy) and then I felt something hard in my mouth, and it ended up being a tooth that was loose.

Here's the weird part: I spit the tooth in my hand, and I noticed it was decaying, or had some sort of brown/dark parts on it. When I noticed that the tooth had come out, instead of being embarrassed or horrified, I was relieved. I was relieved that the tooth came out, however, only after I noticed it had been decaying. I was glad that such a dirty/decaying substance was no longer in my mouth.

Most of the time when I've dreamed about teeth or a tooth coming out, it wasn't a positive experience. So it's weird that this time it was.

This is pretty much the extent of my dream...

Anyone have any idea what this could mean? Thanks in advance!

Seems fairly straightforward. Dreams try to prepare you for danger or problems, and back in ancient times, tooth loss usually meant big problems, to the point where we most people occasionally still dream about it today. As for why it was positive, you seem to have explained that well enough yourself, I doubt there's much more to it.

As for what it connects to in your life, if I had to take a guess, I'd say that tooth loss dreams are probably connected to stress in waking life, and the positiveness of it could show that you're being more optimistic, or that, on some level, you think your problems are ending.

Old thoughts and old knoweldge have decayed away and now room is being made for a new knowledge to come in. In what area? You would know the answer to that. This is a good dream. Out with the old and in with the new. I would encourage you to write your dreams down and date them. They seem to tell a story line of your life. Dreams can be the checks and balances when Gods hand is leading them. Think back from previous ones that you've had and see how a story is created. It just lets us know that God is watching and guiding us along the way. Oh yeah, always reference the bible concordance for things that you may see in a dream. It really helps when you line it all up with scripture. Some things may be different as is it is 2009 but a lot of it holds true.

I don't mean to scare you or anything but In my culture (I come from Macedonia) when people dream about falling tooth/teeth it is quite often interpreted that some one is going to die.If there was pain when the tooth falls its a close relative or a friend, if it doesn't hurt than it's a distant one.I personally don't believe in this ( I never had a dream like this so I can't judge ) but my father claims that when ever he had a dream like this the interpretation was correct. On the other hand in my culture it maybe a subconscious sign of death but for the culture you live in it might have completely different meaning!
