Thread: I've just walked into my dream while awake.

I was looking for a new place to live yesterday and as I walked I remembered that I dreampt of this place before. Everything was the same as I recall it, but I dreamed this dream about a year or more ago. But same exact objects and same time at night, like a tree, the dirt, the sidewalks and the grass, and with the buildings and a swimming pool behind me, in the same exact locations as I dreampt them. But I've never been in this place before. Was I dreaming about the future? Because this is the place where I'm going to live in soon. Its been a long time since I've had an experience like this.

Was this a dream about the future?

PS. But there was only one thing missing: A little girl playing in the dirt who turned to me and asked me, "Why are you here? Are you blind like me?" Because she was wearing sunglasses like blind people do...But so was I in the dream.

I'm going to break this down and ramble a little I think. You are wearing dark sunglasses like the blind but you can obviously see in the dream. Maybe you consider yourself blind to something (the future?) and so wear a facade to show people this but in reality you can actually see. And the girl in the dirt, is she drawing in it or just playing. When I read it I had a mental image of her drawing with a stick and I thought "what could I blind girl get from drawing in the dirt?" Also children are cliche symbols for innocence, so maybe she represents something of a pure form in your mind, yet she is blind. But it is possible she merely meant it as the "pretend blind" like you were showing her. I don't really know... but this dream is really making me ponder. When she asks "are you blind like me?" it seems she could be emphasizing the like meaning not just blind, but blind in the same way she is. The major feeling I seem to be getting from this dream is that you might possess some kind of sight (or maybe some talent that you are slightly aware of) and try to supress it because it's alien to you. This sounds a little off the wall, and I may be completely wrong, but I hope it clarifies something.

I like the above reply to your dream...btw, yes it is possible. I've done it more than once. Dream of a place that you've never seen, then go there quite some time later.

Thanks for your responce, its really thought of. I cant believe that ones self cant interpret his own dream knowing that only his own mind knows whats going on in his own head. But with the help of others who dont even know who you are can enlighten your own way of thinking, I think its great.

I dont know if I have a talent, I dont know how to really use it by my own will if I even have it. But If I really do, I dont think I even diserve it.

That sounds awfully pessimistic IZ... I wouldn't sell yourself short. That may be exactly what the dream was trying to tell you! You think you're blind but you're not!

maybe its not actually being blind but being blind to something, like a girlfriends/boyfriends feelings, something u were supposed to do, an appointment, etc

Perhaps blind means that your subconscious mind thinks that you are unable to imagine what your future will be. You cannot predict how things will turn out for you in this unsettling future in this new place.

THese type of things always freek me out.

If I had that dream, I might wake up shaking. I don't know. Or maybe not. But when I saw the place in real life, I would start freeking out.

1. The fact that you dreamt of a place that you end up going to is very interesting. Some would call it 'Psychic'. It could be that the girl represents you as you see yourself. Innocent and curious, because she asked you if you were blind like her? So maybe subconsciously you knew you were 'Psychic', but you wouldn't recognize it until you were ready to admit it.

2.Maybe that place is haunted and you will see a little girl ghost that causes you to go blind!

It does not mean blindness, as blindness to light. It also does not mean blindness to something in your life. Earlier in this thread, someone had mentioned that you possess a gift. That is what its trying to tell you. It might be foresight, since you were able to go somewhere you knew you were going to be in the future, but you were blind to the fact that you had never been there before or even knowing you were going to be there.
