Can anyone help me identify this dream?

I wasn't sure what forum I should put this thread. But I'm tired of this kind of dream maybe someone could tell me what it was.

Well I've had a similar dream happened to me a year ago and this time it was exactly the same. I was in my room sleeping on my couch, It was dark and I knew I had the tv left on. It was dark in my room. I was on my couch. I thought I was waking up. I looked at the wall where my door was. I saw a shadow like figure standing there. I just looked and it attacked me screaming like some kind of monster type creature.

This dream has happened to me before. The other one was when I was living at my old house. I thought I was awake. I woke up from my bed and I saw someone standing there. I didn't knew who the person was. So they attacked me in my bad and I woke up moving my arms and legs around shaking acting like I thought I was being murdered. This shadow like demon creature thing was shaped as a human, It attacked me and it was screaming too.

That's twice I've had dreams like this and I'm beginning to worry. Can anyone help me describe what kind of dream that might be? Those dreams were dark and I always leave my tv on before I go to bed, and the tv volume is always on low. So I was wondering what those types of dreams were.

Sorry if this was in the wrong forum. I still don't know where to post stuff yet. Thought I'd be safe in the newbie zone. I don't know what these shadowy human like figures are. But I don't know how to stop having those dreams. They look like shadows. And every time they attack me in a false awakening dream I always wake up after it like I saw a ghost. Shaking really bad.
