      Hello and Question

I used to be really good at deciphering dreams, but I'm not positive on this one.

I was dreaming that my family was behind a glass wall. I was on the other side and couldn't get to them. The wall didn't have any doors, windows, and or any way around it. I tried to break through it, but that didn't work. And my family just sat there and stared at me. I was never able to get through.

Just for some background my fiancee and I recently broke up. She took our kids and is living with her parents. My well ex-fiancee now and our kids were the ones in the dream. The rest of the area in the dream was dark and didn't have anything else there except them and the wall. What do you think this means?

Hey JeffX! Welcome to DV The best person to "interpret" your dreams is you. I'm going to move this to the Dream Interpretation Forum because I feel you might find some better answers there.. Hopefully you can find some people who can help you out

If there's some other way I can help you out, let me know. Sweet dreams!

Thank you. I have some ideas on what it may mean. I was wondering if it might mean that I'm afraid of losing my family. My desperate attempts at trying to get through the wall is my own attempts that don't seem to be working to get my family back. I, of course would appreciate any other feedback.

I think you've got the idea of the dream pretty right. You are able to see your family through the glass; this may mean that you know where they are. I mean not literally, you know what went wrong and how to repair the damage...but you are just not able to do it. Also, when you say they just sit and stare at you did they ignore you or just didn't see you?

They were looking at me, but they didn't do anything. They just sat there and stared at me.

I would hazzard a guess is that what is said is straight forward.

What stands between you and what you want is something you cannot see. It is something completely seemless.

What is the one thing that no one can see? Relation to self is inadmissible. You cannot see yourself.

If you ever understand the truth of it, you might come to realize that however dreams originate, they, if you will, can see you very clearly. This means that the potential for the modification of human behavior via lucid dreaming is a treasure beyond description. All you have to do is use it to learn.

I believe it is as written, dreams are a language, one does not interpret a language, The foundation of language is simply saying what you see--no more, no less.

If you understand what I have said so far, then you may come to realize that you have not been given just an idle piece of information, you have been given an invitation.

Now you can test my words by asking in the lucid dreamstate itself. Be very clear with your question.

That could mean, perhaps, that they are completely indifferent towards your attempts to get through...
