One morning my daughter was excited to tell me here previous nights dream. This is a ritual we've practiced since she was old enough to talk about her dreams.

She was in her bedroom with friends when she realized she was dreaming. She exclaimed to her friends, "I'm dreaming and Mommy says I can fly if I want!"
Then she told me she climbed up on her dresser and jumped in the air, only to fall down in the middle of her room. Her friends thought it quite funny and she was upset that she couldn't fly. She told them "But Mommy said we can!" and then woke up.

I have to say, I was kind of proud of her. It has been a number of years since and she hasn't repeated the experience.
