Dream 1 - 14/03/2004

This has been my best dream in yrs, i've pretty much got the perfect technique 4 inducing lucid dreams and last night i had the best one i've ever had.

I wake up in my room not sure if im dreaming or not, i dont want 2 do a load of crazy shit and then find out im awake but i think because its night no-one will care. I shout out im dreaming, clarity etc this confirmes i'm dreaming. i try to turn on the light but it doesnt work i shout at it LIGHT and it instantly turns on. i thought to myself finally i have some control. i walked through my house turning on lights with my voice amazed that i have that control which i usually dont. In one of the rooms there is a dream character, i try to test the theory that most of the time dream characters will resist the idea that they are just dreams. I tell him im dreaming and he just replies with 'yeah, you are'. I walk around revelling in how much better this is than any other lucid dreams ive had i could manipulate almost anything with verbal commands. on exploring a little more i noticed a mirror, i remebering reading a post on dreamviews where someone said something about mirrors but i dont remember what. I walked up to it then after looking at it for a split second i sense of overwhelming terror came over me and it felt like a huge jolt of electric hit me. i tried to forget it then i ended up back in my room and on my bed i noticed a drink carton i tried to read the writing but it was too blurred so i tried shouted clarity several times untill i could see it. This was only the second time i've tried to read in a dream and as with the other dream it was just a bunch of random letters. i tried to read several more pieces of writing and even in a vain attempt to understand it i tried writing down what i saw. but as i attempted to do this i realised this was monopolising my dream and i was in danger of losing lucidity. at which point i reclarified the dream and ended up in car (this part i dont remember very much of) after i finished driving the car i thought of what to do next (this dream had been by far the longest i have ever had), i though that maybe if i continued the dream would end and i would continue sleeping and forget all about it so i decided to wake myself up although i though about seeing how long i could make it last. I layed back and closed my eyes then i woke up.

I cant stress how much of an amazing experience that was (apart from the whole mirror thing), i get lucid dreams about 1 once a week but that was so much better - i had so much control and it lasted in full richness for ages.
