AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING.
I had a crazy night last night, and, aside from me, no one even knows. You'll know soon though
Night of 7/03/06
As an intro, I\'d like to first talk about why last night was so crazy. There are nights when I\'ll wake up frequently throughout the night due to being uncomfortable(too hot, too cold, noisey window, whatever). However, there are also nights(which I haven\'t had since I started LD\'ing) where I wake up frequently, but not due to anything other than waking from a dream, and I\'ll usually wake up extremely comfortable, roll back over, and fall straight into another dream. These are nights I have lots of amazing dreams.
Ok, so last night, this happened to me, except I became Lucid in almost all of them. It was strange though, because I kept waking up before anything could really happen once I became Lucid, so I had a bunch of dreams where I\'d just look at my hand as a reality check, and notice it morphing or a finger missing or what have you. After that I\'d become Lucid, look around, maybe start moving, and then open my eyes back to my bed, being still tired and comfortable, I\'d roll over or shift positions, then fall asleep, and do the same thing.
It was a very mind-blowing experience, as I was becoming very aware of the transition my mind was making into the dream world, and I would always do a reality check right away. One of the dreams I struggled with to become Lucid was one where we did drugs I had never even heard of IN the dream, so I couldn\'t tell if the fact that my hand was warping was due to the drugs, or if I was dreaming(at least my mind couldn\'t make the distinction). Then when the friend in my room turned into half a torso and started crawling backwards out of it into a suddenly really dark hallway, I knew I was dreaming, became Lucid, walked out of my room, and awoke from a dark figure far ahead of me pointing to my side, where I looked and my friend\'s upper torso jumped out, bloody face and all, screaming at me. Other than that, the dreams were mostly instantaneously Lucid(and much happier scenarios too).
So I kept becoming Lucid, and waking up, Lucid, and waking up. This was satisfying to know that I was becoming Lucid in every dream, but not satisfying because I never had time to do anything. I was determined to get at least one lengthy Lucid in.
So one dream, I\'m in this glass room with nothing but a table, a computer, and this other woman in it. I\'m working on the computer, and I just stop and actually say, "Okay, I don\'t know where I am, I don\'t know what I\'m doing, and I don\'t even know who you are," while pointing to the woman. The woman looked at me confused. "I\'m dreaming, sorry." I got up, with much more determination this time than my last Lucid(see 6/29/06) where I was just messing around. I stood facing one of the windows, and for some reason BillyBob_001\'s post he referred to me came into my mind about overcoming your limits in Lucid Dreams. As I looked out the window I thought "I\'m not even going to run over there, I\'m just going to transition into being there." I focused on the setting outside, the grass, a fence, a round table, and suddenly I realized I wasn\'t just focusing on them, I was outside looking at them. I looked back, and there was no more glass room, the other direction was just a big field. There were a few items out here that I wanted to try things on, just to prove to my mind that it\'s capable. There was a red truck with it\'s hood popped, engine and all showing. I turned on the engine(mentally) and walked towards it. I started lowering my head towards the engine and thought "I don\'t feel anything I don\'t want to." My head sank right through the whole thing, and I pulled it out through where the front bumper of the car was. Smiling, I then gripped the popped hood with my hand, feeling cool metal, then slammed it down. Three people were sitting on a wall outside here, and I became curious as to how you can change your senses. I walked over to one of them, and thought how her skin looked kind of rough, so it should feel like sand paper. I glanced at my hand first, noticing the crevaces, and how smooth my hand looked, so then when I felt her arm, it certainly did feel like rough sandpaper. For some reason this girl got angry, and I picked her up, tossed her, and made her disappear without giving it much thought, even as to how much she might\'ve weighed though I threw her with one hand. "I don\'t want anyone bringing down the mood of my dream," thinks me. Obviously being my own mind\'s creation, these other people know what I\'m thinking as I was looking up towards a strange looking moon that was lit up on blue fire, the sky being a particular purple. "Planning to try and fly again?" one of them says. "Yes, but I have a better plan this time, do you want to do it with me?" They both agree, and I set a goal to reach the moon, the highest conceivable place in my dream at the moment.
Now my plan for flying this time was to get high in the air before the attempt. High enough to where the ground wasn\'t even in sight yet, so my mind would force me to fly. How did I get this high? Simple, I created a sort of stair-case of floating ferris wheels that we rode until we could jump to the next one. At the time, I didn\'t even really think of it as being a big thing, just creating dozens of huge ferris wheels that were floating in the sky. Once I reached the top, I realized my companions were no longer with me. Oh well, I thought, time to fly. Now, I didn\'t jump right away, I instead thought of how this is my own dream, how nothing could possibly prevent me from flying, all I had to do was stay in the air. I transitioned into a fall without even jumping, and held my arms out bird style(to the sides) and started shooting forward instead of down. Talk about an incredible feeling. I know someone mentioned on a different thread how amazing flying is, feeling the wind on your face, feeling the sensation of being able to control everything, and I couldn\'t agree more. I soared around at first with nothing but a grin on my face(). I tried going fast, going slow, dipping up next to these mountains, and diving down near the ground. Then I paused in mid-air and glanced up at the blue-fire moon. "You\'re next buddy," I thought. As I started flying straight up, the guy and girl who were with me before suddenly flew up on each side of me, with the girl saying, "Here we go." As we reached higher and higher, suddenly blackness overtook us as we hit space, and the girl said "Space. Good thing we can still breathe." That made me laugh, and I responded "Good thing." My mind made it so I didn\'t feel wind anymore as we flew through space, it was just a sort of empty floating with the feeling of moving forward. We eventually flew up over the moon, and descended onto it, blue fire still burning and all, though I didn\'t feel it. I slowly started walking around, feeling the rocky ground with each step, with blue flames shooting up to my knees. I then looked back and my two companions, smiled like this and fell backwards, laying down in the fire. "Mission accomplished eh?" the guy said. I laughed, looked around at where we were, the stars around, the earth in sight, and said "Wow. Definitely." . I had a feeling I was going to wake up now(or I just decided to?), with my goal of the night being done, so I just layed back, closed my eyes, and opened them to reality.[/color]
Incredible, this night was, and I said before, no one else even knew what happened other than me. That\'s a crazy aspect of Lucid Dreaming to me. Last night I had an amazing adventure of sorts, nothing at all possible in real life, yet when I wake up so cheery, no one would understand, nor would they probably believe me if I told them(unless they were also a Lucid Dreamer). This whole thing is incredible to me, and I would almost like to call it life-changing, because not too long ago I used to be fascinated by my dreams, but never thought I would be able to control them, and have them feel as real as my day to day life. The possibilities are... unfathomable. One of the possibilities I conceived about these dreams, is that maybe it was just one long dream that I was Lucid in the whole time, and each waking up was a false awakening? I don\'t know, I\'m pretty certain I really woke up, but you can never know. Regardless, my mind wasn\'t really done for the night, as I had two more dreams, neither of which I became Lucid in.
In the first dream I was outside on a street with a friend, eating mentos(yes, I like mints a lot, and it wouldn\'t be strange for me to eat them like candy). We were talking about some dinner we were going to go to with some friends, when these two black SUVs pulled up, with their windows up. They sounded like cars full of girls, and they started yelling stuff like "Where were you last night," and "Why haven\'t you called," to us. My friend rolled down one of the windows somehow from the outside, saw one of the girls, and said "What? I don\'t even know you." The window shot back up, closed, and some voice from the front(sounding like an older woman), said "She didn\'t like the mumbling you were doing." I said "Okay, they don\'t want to talk to us, let\'s go inside," and I tipped my head towards a house I guess was ours. As we walked in, the place was a warehouse, with crates full of non-frozen otter pops. I thought "Oooookayyyyy, this is not a house I guess?" I didn\'t get it.
You don\'t get it Theo, you just woke up.
This was a strange dream too, it was a dream that I actually wasn\'t in. It was a screen of some weird game, and I was creating a character I guess on it. I could hear my friends talking about who I was picking, comparing all the different people, but I didn\'t say anything. I eventually chose a character & class(I used to play a lot of mmos) but then my phone woke me up.
What a night
