Well here we go. I've estimated sleep times to within the hour; I like to keep a lot of information available. Questions, comments or insights? Post 'em here my friends.

January 24, 2007 Tuesday Sleep time: 6 AM - 12:30 PM

Woke up sporadically throughout my sleep session. Had multiple dreams...

1. A recurring dream I have about living in a small commercial fishing town (which I do live in, in real life), which is on a small island in southeast Alaska. The town however dotes not look the same in my dream. I saw my father, my family was poor at the time. He was living in a bus, though it did not appear to look as if he was. I found this out when I went to see him. He was watching a parking garage or storage facility for someone and getting paid for it. Kind of an under the table type thing. The people who owned the place came to "visit" the island. In my dream I believe they owned a few places in town and were basically more or less "rich" tourists. That's the impression I got. They pay no attention to me like they are too good for me. I see one of them paragliding or whatever it's called. A boat pulling him as he's screaming excitedly. I walk down to a place next to a small waterfall/fountain and sit down. Right next to a hideously mutated old man. His left hand is shorter than his right and deformed, as is his face. I put two cans of soda in the water, and they start floating away and he grabs them and places them back away from the flowing water. He opens one and pours some of his beer into it and I begin to drink it. The soda has a green label, like a Mountain Dew or a Canada Dry maybe. I begin having a conversation with this man and we talk casually for a bit. He tells me he has a pilot's license and flies 4 hours or 4 miles (can't remember) to the airport every day. As we are talking the guy who is paragliding flies by over my head, but there's a large white crane attached to his parachute, I have to duck so I don't get hit by the crane. After a few moments his voice changes, and it becomes deeper, and darker...I am scared by this and inch myself away from him slightly. I don't know what he's saying at this point. Then I see another man, possibly the same one attached to the crane again, he is attached at the bottom of a spiral shaped mobile (those things you see on people's porches swaying in the wind, not the chimes). He is attached to it like he is attached to a cross. The crane drops him into this hole in front of me, (where I previously put my sodas). I wake up at this point. Not sure how to interpret this one.

2. This dream may or may not have been lucid. You can judge for yourself. I find myself in a room with no doors. It looks like a royal type bedroom (one you might see in a castle) from maybe the 1700's or earlier. There are mirrors covering two of the walls in the room, opposite each other. There is a bed in the room with dark pink colored bedding, almost red. I do not see myself in either mirror. In one mirror I see a black, gaseous cylinder shaped form amass atop the bed in the mirror. I feel darkness, evil. I place my hands together and begin praying. I feel like the power of God has destroyed this being. It appears in the other mirror however and I do the same thing, reaching a hand out to it and screaming at it to disappear and that the power of Christ is in me. Finally it goes away and I feel safe for a few moments. But the evil feeling still lingers within me. Then a girl in a light blue dress appears. Her face is mangled, the rest of her body, a swirling black void. She sits on the bed in the mirror. The wall that the bed was on now appears to have pushed itself into the mirror. I reach out with both hands towards her and, cursing her to go away, the power of Christ compelling her to do so. I feel as if pointing at her with my hands makes her vanish eventually. The dream ends after she is gone. I know what you are thinking, The Exorcist or something. I haven't seen that movie a very very long time and I wasn't thinking about it before I went to sleep, nor have I thought about since I last watched it.

3. Another recurring dream I have had. In this dream I find myself in a run down part of town, or maybe a warehouse of some sort. This place is where I live. Billy Corgan shows up (the singer for The Smashing Pumpkins). It is as if we are friends, and I know its him because it looks like him, and I just know it is him in the dream. I guess he is stopping by on his way to someplace. I don't really talk much to him, but there are a lot of things I want to ask him. I do not ask him however because I don't want to be rude. The things I want to ask I do not know. Basically we are just kind of hanging out. And then James Iha comes by (the guitarist for The Smashing Pumpkins). He sits down next to me and begins to pack up his guitar, pulling the strings off them, and packing little things away into his guitar case. He says he's leaving and not coming back. Billly has nothing to say to him. I want to ask James to play in a band with me, but I hesitate, he leaves. Billy and I are just kind of hanging out now, I want to ask HIM to play in a band with me, but I think he is too good for me. I pull out my guitar and strum a few cords while he's there. Nothing much else happens. I play guitar in real life, although I have not played that much as of late, or for the past couple years at that. Billy Corgan is one of my main influences. Still not quite sure how to take this one.
