Hello. My first several posts will be the journal entries I have written so far, so you will see that they are all posted on the same day. I will attempt to update my online journal daily, with as best detail as possible. I will try to be extremely detailed with dream fragments, as the more I describe, the better I become at dream recall. I won't be as descriptive with longer dreams.

I will date and title every dream. I will also place lucidity level, and vividness level right before every entry, and state whether it is a dream fragment, a broken dream (several parts of the same dream- but I cannot remember it in it's entirety), a normal dream, a vivid dream, or a dream in which I become lucid.

There are many reasons why I try to be this descriptive when it comes to dream journal entries. The first is for research, which is one of the reasons I started to attempt lucid dreaming (and more importantly, at the moment for me, dream recall). The next is more critical to gaining lucidity- it helps me recall dreams. The more I write about what I remember, whether its lucidity level, vividness level, or just describing the objects in the dream, the more I can recall of the dream.

Here is a quick key to help you find what you are looking for in this journal:

Thank you for taking the time to look through the entries, and it will hopefully help you see how another person progresses through lucid dreaming.

Before I begin posting entries, I wanted to post about the two dreams I have had where I became lucid. They are not in my Dream Journal because I had not started one at the time. These were the only two times I have ever had a lucid dream that I can recall.

      Lucid Dream #1:

I cannot remember this one in it&#39;s entirety since I had this dream so many years ago. I recall walking around in my house and then I just said to myself "I am dreaming&#33; I can do whatever I want&#33;" The first thing I wanted to do was levitate. This was around the time the original Matrix movie came out. I wanted to do the exact same things that were in the movie. I jumped and stayed in mid-air for a long time. The feeling was very strange, because it did not feel like I was in mid-air- it felt like I was on an invisible floor.

I did not have much control because after about 5 seconds in midair, I found myself back on the ground. Another attempt at this, and it was like a normal jump. I do not remember much after, but it was not long until I woke up.

      Lucid Dream #2:

This dream occured about two weeks ago. It is what triggered my curiousity and determination in lucid dreaming. Someone wanted to perform a weekly experiment in lucid dreaming, and I participated. We were all told that right before we fall asleep, tell yourself "I will have a lucid dream." We had to mean it and believe it, and say it in our minds, until we fell asleep. I did not know, at the time, that I was using a sort of the MILD technique.

I did this on the very first night. I dreamt about me being at my high school. I was doing a dance which consisted of many jumps in a hallway. A friend was watching me dance and talking to me. He was telling me something, but I did not put much attention to what he was saying. I was just jumping around.

Then I found myself asking him "Will I remember you telling me that when I wake up?" Everything started to feel clearer and more realistic. I was very surprised, but did not grow too excited. I knew that excitement would wake me. I was also limited by the fact that it was a medium level lucidity. I had control as well, but not entirely. I still accepted some things that were strange. For example, I believed that all of my Dream Characters were aware that they were dreaming and that they were lucid dreaming experts.

I was distracted and lost lucidity and control when two of my other friends came up to me I do not remember it well, but we all began walking to the school&#39;s main entrance. I gained lucidity and control again. I was asking them "will we all remember this when we wake up?" Before I received a response, the fear of waking up came to me, because I felt my dream fading. Things grew unclear. I was about to ask them "How do I stay in control?" But I woke up.

My actions in the dream were my own, but with limited control. My control level was not very high.

Hopefully I will master lucid dreaming, but I realize it&#39;ll take time.

I was in a cleaner, "blander" version of the City-Hall subway station in my city. The station was smaller and brighter.

It was crowded with many people. The train came quickly.

Everyone boarded the traun. The trains are usually orange, but this train wasn&#39;t. It was completely grey. I did not walk into the train, but quickly found myself on it.

As soon as everyone was on the train, people began to form groups of friends to talk with. I was going to do the same thing and join a group of people I knew. Someone walked by me, momentarily blocking me from the group I was joining.

I recall seeing the windows letting sunlight enter. In reality, the subway is completely underground (I usually do take another train route that does lead outside).

In my dream, I never joined my group of friends. I remember feeling sadness but hopefulness during the dream. It also felt like I was reminiscing and looking back on something. As soon as the person blocked me by walking past me, I woke up.

I did not wake with memories of a dream. I woke with nothing- a blankness. My attempts at recall seemed pointless, because I did not remember anything. I just made myself frustrated.

I knew I had a dream, but I did not remember it. I did have false memories of what felt like the first of the memories of my dreams. They ended up leading nowhere.

After a while, I remembered I was unable to fall asleep easily the night before. I had even thought that I had major insomnia. Because of this, I had stopped focusing on my goals for my dreams that night. I fell asleep feeling annoyed and worried.

I thought about all of this in the morning. Next time I will relax with the intention of Dream Recall. I must also focus on waking during my REM state, or the state of "brief awakening."

I found myself in my bedroom. The lights were on. My parents were there and the television was on. There was a type of sports event on the television. It may have been the superbowl. Nothing seemed out of order in terms of objects, placement, and order. Not much occured, but it was just very odd. In the dream I had a sense of touch, sight, and sound. The dream felt more real than a Normal Dream.

My parents and I were talking about how to use a cabinet properly. After that, my dad (I cannot clearly remember this part) opened a door and showed me a classroom, with a chalkboard and everything. This door seemed to appear from nowhere.

I woke up. It was 4 and a half hours later. I am usually forced to get up by my alarm two hours later than this. So it was strange that I awoke unusually early.

      After I awoke, I could not remember anything. I started to move, and then I remembered reading on a website, "Don&#39;t move&#33; Let the dream come to you. Stay still, with your eyes closed. Let your mind wander, and let the memories of the dream come to your mind. I did this, and after half a minute, every detail of the dream rushed into my mind. I remembered everything. It seems my recall is improving already&#33;

      <div align="center">Business Email Dream Fragment</div>

As I sat thinking about my quick successful dream recall, I was wondering if the toll free number my family ordered for me was active yet. Then I remembered that I, at some point, saw an email saying it was active. I could not recall when until I really thought about it. The email was part of a dream, but it had no connection with the dream I recalled earlier.

      This must have been one of my other dreams that night. I am remembering multiple dreams now&#33;

      <div align="center">High School Dream Fragment</div>

Another fragment like memory came to mind. I was talking to one of my high school teachers. I wanted to transfer from one class to another but I did not want to dissapoint the teacher I wanted to leave. I don&#39;t know why, but thats the way I felt in the dream. That is all I remember.

I awoke. For 15 minutes, I was wondering what I dreamt about during the night. Nothing was coming to mind. I was very upset. The previous night, I had not put much effort into my MILD technique. But after half an hour of being awake, bits of the dream came to memory. I was on the computer taking a look at a podcast (on an rss feed website). One of my favorite podcasts (whose host I have talked to and all) was advertising another podcast in his feed. He had made the ads a bigger part than the shownotes themselves. It kind of upset me.

This is all that came to memory.

I was constantly checking my website and had some new members. One member posted a ShoutOut in a ShoutBox, and nothing else. After that, his member profile said he had a fatal hemorrhage. I was shocked and very upset (very sad as well). Then it turned out that he had this occur, because of an experiment/investigation we were running. This did not make any sense, because our investigations are not harmful at all. People volunteer to participate, and they are always simple (recording dreams for lucid dreaming, etc.).

I found myself going on a long journey to help or alleviate the situation. I don&#39;t remember much here, but I found myself in a huge building with large steps. There were huge windows, and the ceiling was very high. It looked like a very clean and formal place. We were in some type of "mall subway." There were stores and I knew there was transportation somewhere.

I walked through many tunnels and offices. I saw some type of broadcasting thing as well. It was a station I don&#39;t remember ever hearing of. When I researched it in real life, it did exist. My subconscious must have picked it up when I was not paying attention. Then I saw one of my friends. He had gotten a job in this "mall subway."

Soon, I found myself talking to my father in my house. He told me why these medical attacks work and how (I don&#39;t remember his explanation). I went on a second trip and ended up on some type of "stay-the-night" travel. It was very difficult to remember, and it was a very weird dream.
