Commonly dying in a dream simply represents "going away". Sigmund Freud explains this well in "The Interpretation of Dreams" in the Material and Sources of Dreams - when we are children (and you can see this in other children) thinking of death is usually just associated with "gone away" instead of the rotting of the corpse or beliefs in the afterlife. |

Hand your friends' ass's back to them with this piece of logic- If somebody died in a dream and then died in real life, how would they tell people that they died in a dream and then died in real life? If they still argue with you, kick 'em in the head and repeat your argument. |

Hmm, funny. I CAN'T die in any of my dreams. Like I said in another thread, I've been hit by speeding cars, attacked by 30 foot crocs, drowned in oceans, fallen off buildings. It just doesn't phase me. It's like I'm . . . immortal. |

I'm rich, biatch!
Yuuuk ! don't ya jus hate Freudian dream interpretation!...anyway I've died in a dream quite a few times it has always been quite a pleasant experience and I have awoken with no ill effects! |

I've also died many times in dreams, and usually woke up thinking, "That was bad-ass!" I think it depends mainly on how you think about death. |

If you have a sense of caring for others, you will manifest a kind of inner strength in spite of your own difficulties and problems. With this strength, your own problems will seem less significant and bothersome to you. By going beyond your own problems and taking care of others, you gain inner strength, self-confidence, courage, and a greater sense of calm.Dalai Lama
