Thread: Midnight Journies

Last night, I dreamt I was at a buffet with my family. I was up, looking at all the food. I thought: I should have healthy foods.

But there weren't any. They were all nasty, greasy food. They didn't even look appetizing. I could find a potato, I think that's healthy. Then I found some cheese stick things and I knew it was at least a little healthy because it's dairy, so I got four of them and a potato and went back to sit with my family.

However, my aunt mary stopped me and said, "You can't have FOUR cheese sticks, you have to have FIVE in order for it to be healthy."

So she walked me back up to the buffet and grabbed one for me and put it on the plate.

Then I woke up.

I don't really remember the dream I had last night. I just know it had to do something with a container. The container was red and had something on it.

I just don't recall what it was.

Hmm... And I thought I was pretty good at dream recall. I guess I need more practice.

Well, I remembered my dream this morning.

George W. Bush is coming to KC, so I dreamed about that. And my mom REALLY wanted me to go. So we got in the car and we were going there and suddenly we got caught up in HEAVY traffic. My mom said, "Screw it." and we ended up in Africa.

In Africa, the grass was pretty green, not like a dessert at all. There was a huge tree with a cot under it. Two women were sleeping in the cot. They were dark and I found them absolutely beautiful. I think one of them had green eyes.

Well, we talked for awhile, but I don't remember what about and they re arranged the cot somehow to make a T shape.

Then they just got up and went to this khaki safari-type Jeep. They were going to go see George W, too!

So they left me by myself to go back to the US.

As I walked, I passed these haunted houses. I didn't go in, of course. But then these men in dark purple robes with Jack-O-Laterns over their heads chased me. Everytime they would pop up, I would be scared, but then I would laugh because they looked really weird.

I feel like I've had a dream similar to this before.

Last night, I had a dream. Me and my friends went to Wal-Mart and we were playing in the aisles, running around and tagging each other. Eventually we ended up in the food department and I had to tackle one of my friends because she was getting away.

Let's just say it ended in lesbian awkwardness...

Nice start to your DJ, MQ. I see you've already found it awkward to write exactly what happened (in the last dream).
I like the dream about going to Africa rather than meeting George Bush!

Not sure what to say about the lucids. I don't LD either but I keep my DJ here and have found the conversations useful, especially when I see themes appearing in other DJs that I'm also having. My recall has improved tremendously too.

I don't quite remember all the details of these dreams. But, this weekend, I went to an anime convention and this is relevant later on.

Anyway, in the dream, I was trying to go get some with one of my friends (once again, a girl [Wow, a lot of lesbian weird dreams]) and we had to get out of this huge mansion house into another one. Well, we were trying to sneak out.

In the next dream, I was at a panel, like the ones at the anime convention I'd gone to. And they singled me out and I was still wearing my pirate lolita costume.

They were like, "Are you single?"

"Yes?"

Then this guy I used to know starts pointing at this kid I broke up with a long time ago, named John. The kid kept saying, "John's single, too!"

And I looked at John and our eyes met.

It was strange...

In my most recent dream (that I recall), I woke up from the couch (where I usually sleep in the winter) and I went into the spare room and looked in.

And my ex, Spencer, was sleeping there. I woke him up and I was like: Dude, WTF?

What's up with all these relationship dreams? It's getting on my nerves...

I record the ones I can recall here. Sometimes I don't remember them, but I think I'm remembering them more and more.

I didn't mean to be sneaky! lol.

So, I took a nap earlier and I had this weird dream.

I was at my school and all my friends were were gathered around me and we were talking. I'm not sure about what.

But we had to kick someone off the "island."

And I had to persuade everyone that it shouldn't be me! And the host from Survivor was there.

Yeah...

I had the jackpot of dreams last night. And I actually remember! Which is why I'm so happy.

False Awakening

One of my dreams was a false awakening. I dreamed that I sat up on the couch (where I was sleeping) and looked at the clock. It was seven in the evening (I could tell because the outside was dark). So I got up and came into the computer room and asked my brother if I could get on the Internet. He said okay and I got on Facebook and logged in.

My mom confirmed that this awakening was false this morning. I asked her if I had gotten up at seven and she said no, that I was asleep the whole night (from 5 pm -- 6 am).

Shooting Star

Anyway, then my next dream, I was at the local outdoor shopping mall and I was looking up at the night sky and I saw this shooting star. I was like: OMG, I have to make a wish now! So I closed my eyes and made a wish for a new boyfriend/girlfriend. I opened my eyes and the star is right down in my face. But it's not a cool, whirling nebula star, it's like one of those cartoon stars, with glasses. And it was like: Get into the booth and we'll entertain you shortly. So I got into one of the booths, but it had, like, windows in it, so I could see out.

Anyway, so I'm sitting there and suddenly stuff starts rattling on the door handle and I can't see it (the windows are on the side, not the front). I don't know, it would scare me if it happened in real life, but, in the dream, I was happy and thrilled, like it was so cool. Then nothing happened.

Next, I saw my ex, Spencer, walking around. It made me mad for some reason. I don't know why, though. So, I got out of the booth and went to go follow him, but I lost him (There wasn't even a crowd, I guess he just ducked into a store or something). And then the star came up behind me and told me, "You know, if you don't get into a booth, then I can't entertain you." It was somewhat threatening, but I got into a booth anyway...

Phantom of the Opera is Here.... Inside my dream

The next dream I had was that my school was putting on a production of Phantom of the Opera. I was backstage/lights management, because my theatre teacher knew that I had the most experience with those things. Well, we were going through and we got to the "The Mirror (Angel of Music)" score and I was listening backstage. I was listening for my cue. For whatever reason, I was the only person who could say "Who is that voice? Who is that in there" and "Christine!? Angel!" correctly at the end of the song.

So we were getting to that part and the curtains were closing, lights dimming, etc, and I was about to say it when everyone started screaming. I was so confused.

Everyone told me "There's something dead on the stage!" But I never got to see it. So I had to go tell everyone in the audience that there would be an intermission and we'd start over from "The Mirror (Angel of Music)" when they came back.

So everyone came back after intermission and we tried again. The same thing happened, so I went to go look at the body. It looked like a big red fish, so I picked it up. Jell-O came out of its mouth, so I looked inside of it. More Jell-O.

I don't remember much of this dream, but I remember I was looking at this tin and it had this blue little chibi on it. I was wondering what it was and a DC came up to me and was like, "That's from Solty Rei."

I just looked at it and shrugged.

I've only seen a couple of episodes of Solty Rei, by the way

In my dream, I was first at a video store. It was not in very good condition. Well, I'm looking around and there's all these weird videos everywhere. They're all horror films. Eventually, I look up, I'm looking for the porn. There's a big door that says "Adult features only," but I don't dare go in, because I'll be embarrassed.

The guy who I came with came over and grabbed my arm, he was like, "Let's go." And so I went.

It turns out that the video store was on Native American Burial Grounds, so the car he was driving was haunted. Sometimes, it would go faster without him wanting it to and just weird stuff in general.

Anyway, we got to his house and we got out of the car.

Across the street, these kids would jump out of the bushes and this guy's friend would run them over with a car and then pick them up and take them somewhere. I wasn't really scared, just kind of indifferent at that.

Then this guy takes me down to his basement and is like: We're going to can you up and make you into food.

And I'm like: D:

So he leaves and then this little Asian girl comes out of nowhere. I'm like: We have to get out of here.

So we try to escape and I get out of the basement. And I see my mom. I run up to the car and I'm out-of-breath.

"Mom, this guy's going to eat me. Please let me come with you!"

My mom turns to me and says "No, it's helpful to society if you become food."

I realize that this is just a dream, my mom would NEVER give my life up for the "good of the society." I feel my physical breath start to speed up and I tell myself to cool down. I start to walk towards the house, I'm going to get my revenge on my captor. But the dream starts to fade into black and white. I spin to try to keep clarity, but I fail at this and wake up. After passing a reality check, I look at the clock. It's four o' clock.

In my dream, we were watching some kind of underwater scene unfold through a TV screen. There was a lion fish and other stuff and I was like, "Why is it, when you watch underwater stuff, there's always so much sand and you can hardly see anything?"

Then there were these two big round things, one was red, the other blue. They looked at the camera and were mad because we were watching them, then they burst out of the water and came right at us! We screamed and ran away.

Then, I was in an amusement park bathroom, one that was outside the amusement park. And there were all these people running around with knives.
I eventually took one from them.

School

In my first dream, I was heading home from school. I didn't ride the bus, but I walked. And it wasn't where I live, but in a forest. So I was walking through this forest on the way home and there was a bridge. I stopped because there were people there and asked them what they were doing. They were letting hummingbirds land on them. I stuck my finger out and a hummingbird landed on it. It was all emerald green. Then I let it go and continued on my way.

I crossed the bridge and saw the most beautiful flowers I had ever seen. Next to the flowers was a stream, then, there was just plain old dirt. I looked at the dirt, shocked. It was so ugly next to these beautiful flowers! I decided to grow some there, so I got a watering hose and started to water the place and I looked for seeds.

Then, I transitioned into my second dream.

Japan, Yet Another Amusement Park

I was suddenly in Japan, watching some band from atop this weird thing that I cannot describe. I was beginning to grow restless because I didn't want to stand there anymore. So I got a few of my friends to leave with me, Chris, Shelby, and Lisa. So we went to this amusement park place with one really, really tall roller coaster. Halfway up, there was a lady who had one of those spin board things. If we landed on green, then we got to have our picture taken with the band that we'd just seen. However, if we landed on white, we didn't.

I spun twice. The first time, it was white, the second, green. Yay! We won! So we got these tickets and continued on.

Anyway, we got to the top and we were waiting for our turn. Out of the mouth of the roller coaster came these bulls. They were small, but they were bulls with horns and everything. But we weren't scared, we just watched them rage by us.

After the brief running of the bulls, we got onto the cart. However, you could only have two on each cart. Me and Shelby got in one and Chris and Lisa got in another. Yeah. Yet more lesbian awkwardness...

Then the dream ended! Yay!

I know I haven't been writing in here lately. It's because somewhere along the road, I stopped remembering my dreams again and I had to start all over.

Recently, I've been able to recall my dreams. And this is one that I had last night.

Quik Trip, Jenna, and... Fursuits?

So in my dream, I was going to Quik Trip for some reason. I went inside and this guy that I really don't like, Jonas, was in there. I was like: WTF is he working here?

He stopped and talked to me for a bit, I don't remember what about, but then I left because I was meeting my other friend Jenna (whom I have a crush on). So I eventually met her at this café sort of thing. So we started talking and Jenna said something about what Jonas had written on her facebook, that she had been invited to AFW and all and told me what the comment was. Which was basically that Jonas didn't plan on cosplaying, but wearing a fursuit.

I burst out laughing and Jenna asked what was so funny. I remarked that most anime peoples, especially those hardcore 4chan-ers, hate furries.

I don't know why I found it so funny. :/

But it was a weird dream...

Yes, school has started and my summer has just really been crazy. I haven't really remembered any of my dreams until recently, though. These are the three that have occurred in the past two days.

a dog; a flying car; and satanism (Aug 26th)

So, I'm not sure where this dream started, but I was in this marsh. It was day time. I was looking around and there was this little island in front of me surrounded by a little stream. I was like: Hmm. that's pretty cool.

Then this olive-green car comes flying out of no where! It comes from behind me and crashes on the little island. Well, there's this Jack Russell terrier on the hood of the car and I remember thinking: OH NOES! The dog's gonna get smashed!

And, I saw the dog's back was broken and it was all crippled. I was so worried about it. Then it got up and shook its fur and seemed to straighten out and was perfectly fine.

My next thought was: I have to get the dog to this side of the stream. So I grabbed a stick and tried to get at it, but it was too short. Then I wished I had a plank and I had a plank, so then I laid it across the river and the dog walked across.

Then I turned around and saw my friend Kyle. He was wearing a shirt that said "I (pentagram) Satanism."

I was like: I didn't know you were Satanist.

And he said: Well, I agree with a lot of their concepts.

And that was the end of that one.

Werewolves; Kansas?; Justin (Aug 27th)

It was day out and there were these werewolves in this car. I was observing from third-person point of view. They had these weird yellow and pink bumps all over their faces and they were changing from human to werewolf, so their teeth were poking through their gums and the human teeth were falling out. They kept saying stuff about how they might be contagious.

Then there was this infant that was brought in and she wasn't getting sick.

So the werewolves were like: we're not contagious!

Now I was in first person point of view and in this weird bus car thing and driving through Kansas City. It was weird because I knew it was Kansas City, but it didn't LOOK like it at all. It looked more like a different nation (maybe France?). There were cafés and stuff and I remember thinking that it didn't look like the Kansas City I knew.

Then I saw Justin sitting at a café, listening to an iPod. I leaned out the window of the bus car and yelled at him, but he couldn't hear me because he was listening to his iPod.

So the bus continued, then I leaned out and yelled again. This time he heard and got on a bike.

His hair was the same, but it was kinda shaved in the back and different colors (blonde, pink, and black). He also had a goatee (WTF?).

So he rode his bike up to the bus and was like: Hey, what's up?

I was like: Nothing, yo.

Phone Call (Aug 27th [during my nap])

I dreamt that I woke up and looked over at my phone and I had a missed call from Justin. I was like: Oh well. Then I went back to bed.

I dreamt that I was looking for my book, Cry the Beloved Country, in this HUGE library.

All I could find were baby-blue books that were To Kill a Mockingbird...

Well, I dreamed that I was downstairs in my room and I woke up and there was this HUGE spider in front of me. At first, I was scared, then the spider spoke to me telepathically and was like: Don't be scared, I just want to hang out.

Or something like that. I don't remember the words exactly.

And I was like: Okay.

Then we just kinda hung out and then I found out that the spider was actually plotting to kill me (which may or may not be true, I don't know).

And, in real life (not dream world), I have this can of bug spray in my room in case I DO see a spider, so I was looking for that in the dream. I grabbed something that I thought was it and sprayed it at the spider web. But then it turned out to be Lysol and it didn't kill the spider. The spider got angry and then I woke up.

This last one was pretty weird. I dreamed I was chasing this one thing with other people (it was some sort of dangerous beast) and we met this guy in an alleyway. It was night and I remember the prominent colors being blues and purples. And he held out his hand and there was this weird animal in it. I remember saying that it was part cat, monkey, and something else..

Anyway, then I had a dream where I WAS the beast. My teeth throbbed and then they grew out. I was so hungry, so HUNGRY. Then I saw this little girl. I don't know how old she was. I didn't really care. I chased her down and bit hard into her calf. She screamed and I tried to rip her calf off, but it wouldn't rip, so I just let go and pinned her down so she couldn't get away and drank the blood.

Cats; Swimming Pool; Fish

I had a dream that there was this swimming pool. It was all white and the pool was so blue. There were these people that were fishing in the swimming pool. I was confused, but they assured me there were fish in the pool.

Then, a cat comes just behind me and walks out on TOP of the water. Think the forest god from Princess Mononoke. It was chasing the fish, then it dove in to try to catch one. It didn't.

Then it came back out and tried to step back on top of the water and it couldn't, then it swam to me and climbed out of the water. All I can remember is its sheer blackness and the yellow moon eyes it had.

Ants. Lots and lots of ants

I had another dream where there were all of these ants. There were so MANY of them! They were a huge river of little black dots. I finally got fed up and grabbed a bottle of Clorox Cleanup and sprayed them. They just kept coming, so I kept spraying and I followed them back to their nest and sprayed inside of it to kill them all.

Then there was something about a praying mantis, but I'm not sure what.

Well, there was this pizza in the bottom of the fridge, it was for someone who wanted a chicken and cheese pizza. It said to open if I was hungry and I did. Then I cooked it and ate it.

Apparently I was being babysat or something, because there was this man and woman who were supposed to watch me and made their presence known. But I don't remember much about them now.

Then there was a football game at my school and I saw my old teacher, Mr. Quinlan, so I started to yell at him and I was sitting in a car. The people I was with were like: There was a football game at the high school. Now he can't hear you.

Then I dreamed that there was this music (probably my phone going off) and I turned into a werewolf and ran through this forest. Pretty cool.

So, I'm starting to remember my dreams more and more lately. It's really something else.

Last night I had two dreams.

They sort of led into each other, but not really.

Pearls; 40K; Airport; Japan

I had this dream where I was sitting in a classroom-ish place with my mom and we had all of this jewelry in front of us. Really, there was a lot of it. And there was this guy who was at the head of the classroom. It was sort of like Bingo, he would call out a type of jewelry and we would see if we had it. I ended up having three of the “big pearl” things and we ended up getting $40,000. At firs, I thought he said $100,000, but, he told me I was wrong and it was only $40,000 because he only got $60k for his paycheck or something stupid like that. So, we get the $40K and go!

I go to the airport and my mom tries to get me a ticket to go to Japan. I'm so excited and I see Asians all over the airport. But, for some reason, we can't seem to find a place to get them, so we end up going up all these escalators and elevators and things to try to get to somewhere and we end up going NOWHERE. It was frustrating, to say the least.

The Political Race; Pug-Pig Thing

My other one was about Obama and something about a political campaign and something about he had let this pug/pig thing go. Seriously, it was ugly. And it smelled bad. I ran into it and it was supposed to be something that Obama chose not to stop or something.

It was weird and I'm not exactly sure what was going on in that one...

So, I've been worrying about my weight a lot lately and I had a dream last night where I weighed 260lbs.

It sucked.
