Upon turning out the lights last night, I promptly fell asleep listening to Insomnium (excellent melodic death metal). My first and most memorable dream from that night involved me being unaware of dreaming...yet seeking out a familiar spot in that dream environment.

This hasn't been the first time it's happened, I have sought out areas of Awesomeness that I hold close to me in my dreams before. For instance, in one dream I knew where I was in regards to the sought out area, and I crossed over a mountain range on foot to get there. However, in this particular scenario, I was not fully cognizant that I was dreaming, but I was in search of an area I yearned to visit and bask in.

Thus, I set out into my Dream Town (which is a surreal version of my current residence and my old hometown) to ask anyone I came across how to reach my destination. This didn't work out too well...no one knew, and I ended up in a large bookstore (known as the Book Barn in real life). Momentarily forgetting my objective, I entered the basement of the establishment and encountered a girl in my English Seminar course.

She read from her notebook something along these lines:
The owner's of the store have noticed that those who utilize the time traveling device often do not return. However, it has been noted that if you turn the green knob firmly, then results will be much smoother.

I thought to myself,"Well...I'm staying the hell away from that thing." However, nearly as soon as she had finished reading this to me, I found myself holding a megaphone like gadget; the time traveling device. For reasons unknown, I extended it out in front of me and pulled its trigger.

Conscious that this was not going to end well at all, fearful that something terrible would unfold, I was helplessly gazing ahead as the room contorted like an image in a kaleidoscope.

Then I jumped in bed and awoke. For some reason, the last segment of the dream held some odd hidden terror in it, and I couldn't get back to sleep for another hour because of it.
