      Everything Bcomp dreams about...

I'm sort of new to lucid dreaming. I had one a few months ago that was really vivid and I thought maybe I'd google dreams and I found this forum. It was really cool because I've always wanted to examine and interact in my dreams so I read more. I've only had 3-ish lucid dreams that I can remember to date, but I want to have more! I've been browsing this whole site for a while and I really like how everyone's so supportive so I figure I'll post a dream journal and maybe I'll get advice and tips... or maybe it'll just entertain people. And I'm fine with both.

And everyone seems to do lucid stuff in blue... so I guess I'll do it in blue too...

And if anything weird OBE or SP or HI stuff happens I'll put it in this color.

And this is the color of normal dreams.

Dream comments are in this color.

Look forward to all your comments.

I'll start with my first dreams. Don't really remember when they happened... last Novemberish I think... anyway.

      First Ever Lucid Dream

I was walking through this metropolis area that vaguely reminded me of my backyard - and also of the city in sonic adventure for dreamcast - when I saw my friend's sister. Then she said "oh hey ben come in here these girl want to meet you!" and led me into this store and there were all these girls on a bed calling my name. Naturally I was like "sweet!" and I started to go in... then I realized..."wait. no. this is a trick. this could never happen." then I flew backwards out of the store and was outside, hovering 3 feet over the street.

I had an immense awareness of myself and I seemed to know that I could do anything. I flew over to a telephone pole and ripped it out of the ground and started swinging it. Then I telekinetically lifted a rock up in front of my face, then I wondered if I could do the superman eye thing. So I blew it up with my laser eyes. Guess so. I flew off around the city and shot at some buildings with the laser eyes then, when I was getting a little bored, lying robots flew out from behind the buildings and I shot them down and flew back down to the streets. The sister and the girls and a crowd of people were thanking me and praising me and I just said "All in a day's work."

The dream ended and I woke up with full recollection. The interesting part is when I realized I had such immense power, I didn't think I was in a dream, but I had full control and everything. I seriously thought I had superpowers ha. So bummed when I woke up. But it was a good dream.

      Escaping from the stake!

I was a witch. A sorcerer. Whatever you want to call it, I was evil. And now the king had decreed my sentence before the royal court: to be burned at the stake until dead. I was immediately dragged from my place at the witness stand out of the courtroom to the burning post on the top of the tower. The guards tied me to the stake and set the fire. WHOOSH! The fire curled around my body but I felt no heat. I knew I was being prosecuted wrongly; I was no magician. Or... was I?

Some magic power, whether my own or someone elses, broke the bonds that tied me to the stake. I was in full control of my destiny at this point. I ran straight to the edge of that tallest turret and leaped down the rocky wall. I ran along walls and jumped from ledge to ledge over banquets of feasting knights and cages of doomed prisoners as I made my way to the outer wall. Though I didn't see them, I felt the guards closing in around me. I flung myself with a resounding bound over the final wall and as I passed the perimeter, I knew I was free.

It was really intense. The fastest I've ever ran ever. Still didn't recognize it was a dream, but I was fully lucid and had control of everything.

First time I realized I was dreaming.

I had just come down a water slide into an area that resembled a hiking trail, where one side was a valley overlooking a green landscape and my town and the other side was a steady incline, in between which was a well maintained, brown gravel road. I stood wet in my bathing suit next to the road for a while, then I noticed my friend SM in her running gear taking a jog up the trail. She waved to me and I was like... "wait a minute. SM's here. this has got to be a dream."

After I realized this was a dream, I remembered how much I'd always wanted to fly, leave the ground, and feel the wind on my face. I bend my legs and launched into flight like a rocket, straight as a pencil. I watched the ground speed wildly away from my feet, then I looked straight upwards and felt the wind in my hair and I shot off into outer space.

It was the most vivid flying experience I've ever had. The only thing even similar I've seen before is the scene in Iron Man when he takes the silver suit out for a first flight.

Partial Dream - Changing Lights and Phone

I watched this house with fascination for probably 20 minutes. The house looked victorian and was very similar to a church in that it had a bell tower. The reason I was so interested in it was because the lighting on the house was constantly changing from a redish glow, to a blueish haze, to normal daylight lighting. I was then interrupted by my cell phone ringing and I was very annoyed so I turned the phone off. The ringing still didn't stop so I took the battery out.

Then I realized it was my phone in RL and I was super pissed and woke up.

      GTA Dream?

So I'm driving down the I-5 freeway in my thunderbird right? When all of the sudden this jerk cuts me off and I hit him. I pull over to the side of the road and I'm really pissed and he just runs off. So now I have no way to get to wherever I was going. Then I get an idea.

So I run into the middle of the nearest lane and put up my hand like a stop sign and this lady in an explorer screeches to a halt in front of me. I yank her out of the car and drive off, a la GTA. Then I crash THAT car into a semi that's goign too slow. So I get out, repeat the process and get a yellow, convertible ferarri. Awesome!

The same this keeps happening until the police start catching on and chasing me. Pretty soon I'm crashing cars and getting new ones even with the police on my tail.

So like 50 cars later I crash between two semis, and I get out to go look for another car and the cops surround me and arrest me. Busted!

      Yup.

Ok so I had a hard time recalling dreams this morning... even after thinking about it a long time all I remembered were these two fragments:

      Partial Dream - Mirror!

I was walking through my house with my friend NC when we both turned into my hall bathroom. We were wearing bathing suits for some reason and I distinctly remember being really excited because I'd be able to see her reflection in the mirror...

Partial Dream - Explaining Dream Flow

My friend had a question about dreams so I tried to explain it to him by drawing out the flow of dreams for him on this pamphlet for a water park. (called "Ticonderoga Water Park" or something like that) I colored the streams of water black and said they were dreams.

Symbolism? Interesting? Pie? Nope, not at all.

      Father's Day

It was father's day and my family was going on a road trip, so we stopped in a gas station and I saw an ad for a TV dinner called "white rabbit" on a sign near the gas pumps. The ad had two comedians on it, one of whom looked like Borat, and the sign proclaimed "It'll remind you of the tzar!" There were samplers near it so I reached out the window and got one, then thought it would be funny to tape the sample to the top of our food cooler. I taped three corners on but the fourth I couldn't because a bug got stuck under the tape, died, and blew away. My dad came back to the car to grab something out of the cooler and didn't notice the box on top. Needless to say, I was disappointed.

Chronicles of a Mad Black Woman Cop

The perspective wasn't on me for this dream, but more as if I was watching a movie. There was this black lady cop who was mad because she had to be on duty on father's day. She drove around to random places in the city - not sure if it was NYC or LA - and said funny stuff, all in a very 90s sitcom-ish way. Then she got a call that a man was falling from a building and the operator wondered if she could possibly get his family there before he hit the ground (wth?). So there was this slow motion scene (that was really funny) switching back and forth between the guy falling, the construction workers near the building moving a giant girder, and the cop rushing the family through the streets. The guy hit the ground and exploded into a purple dust (he was wearing a purple polo shirt.) One of the contrustion workers asked the cop: "If something's really small can it knock an atom outta the way? 'Cuz his was really small..." lol

      Vampires?

I was in a place where ghosts, vampire, werewolves, and other generally spooky things existed. The main group of these spooky monsters were called "The Mass" and were made up of everyday sort of characters who were very superstitious. They were especially afraid of this old church that housed stone statues of other vampires. They were also afraid of this character I drew in the dream that came to life. I looked sort of like sonic the hedgehog, but it's spikes were red and it's head was more bullet-shapped.

Fell asleep to a weird episode of Walker, Texas Ranger where walker and co. busted a drug smuggling operation that was running under the cover of a movie production company that was currently producing a vampire movie.

      Fragment - Friend

My friend LT was running around asking everyone if they had a copy of "A beautiful mind" with them. This lasted for 3-ish minutes.

Before I went to bed, I got a phone call from her asking if I had a copy of the movie. Ha definitely why I had the dream.

      Fragment - DEILD Lucidity

I was rudely awakened by my alarm clock, so I silenced it and went back to sleep...

I was flying! Below me, I big, rocky canyon with grassy, wooded edges, above me, a clear blue sky. I was flying like superman, fists stretched in front of me (which is a first) and I swooped a few time before I started to wake up. I spun as fast as I could and partially regained the dream, but I ended up letting it go because I knew I had to get up.

      Fragment - Interrupting Parents

I was tired from walking around, so I was about to lay down and sleep, when my fantastically annoying mother pops out of no where and starts shouting "you better not be lucid dreaming! I told you not to lucid dream! Don't lay down you should be doing chores!" nonstop. I didn't even get to sit down.

I think she yelled at me about putting away towels or something before I went to bed. Ugh.

      Newspaper Madness

There was an opinion article in my school paper about acceptance - toleration of others or something like that - and it needed a cartoon. Being the cartoonist, I quickly whipped out a cartoon of these two semi-naked cartoon/anime lesbian girls. I thought it made perfect sense with the article (like if you can accept them... you're good.) Later, I started freaking out because I feared people wouldn't receive the article or the cartoon well so I decided to change it, but I was too late: the article had gone to print.

I am actually on my school paper and a similar sort of thing happened... not as extreme though haha.

      Fragment - Backflips

I was vaguely aware that I was dreaming while I stood in the middle of a vast green field, quite similar to a public park near my house. "Oh lucidity! I should do some backflips and tricks!" So I did. (I began to lose clarity the more acrobatics I performed... think I started to get dizzy.) A group of people was gathered for some activity that happened to be in the path of my flips. I landed quite embarrassingly in front of this really pretty girl, who laughed and complemented me on my clear face.

      Fragment - Intergalactic Photoshop

I was using photoshop to make pictures of various planets to fit in boxes on an interplanetary transport interface. The program was uninteresting, so I started adding extra elements mountains, trees, seas) to the planets that they didn't have, but then I'd feel guilty and erase them.

      Extreme Hiking

I was on a trek - more of a hike - with a group of friends up a mountain. The mountain had an interesting, muddy consistency that varied from firm to almost liquid. Night was falling and casting misty shadows through the trees. A few people were getting caught up on the wooden planks that made up the trail. Up ahead, a few other hikers were helping my friend MI out of a sticky part of the mud. I joked with her about her bad footing. (Partial lucidity... about 40&#37 I started up running after the guy at the head of the group. The wind whipped up the loose corners of my shirt as I ran past him to the summit of the mountain, jumping between rocky precipices - a la Ninja Warrior - to the largest rock on the mountain. Upset, the kid calls me out from the ground. "Hey are you trying to make me look bad because my mom was on Ninja Warrior?" he says. "Ha," I laugh. "No. It's just so easy!" (At this point I lost focus and lucidity.) A tiny trapeze hanging from a tall tree caught my gaze. Two birds flew from a nearby bush, landing on the trapeze and a nearby windowsill. The bird on the bar started to swing himself back and forth, eventually launching himself onto the window sill. The next bird had trouble swinging on the trapeze, but had bright, fluffy feathers that were almost iridescent. After both birds had completed the feat, they made tiny muscle-man poses with their wings and strutted around the sill. I though it was adorable so I took a picture.

      Tactical Espionage Action Dream

Our mission was clear: infiltrate the bay and retrieve intelligence. Ten years ago, my team would be turning that intelligence back to the Navy or the CIA. Now we turn it over to no one.

There was a naval base on the rim of the bay that has hidden behind a earthen barrier. Undoubtedly protected, we'd have to fly solo closer in. The skimmer was light, fast, sleek, and could fly over water or air, but it was too risky to bring in range of the watchtowers.

Water covered my face, wrapping around the mouthpiece and tanks as I slipped under the surface towards an uncovered inlet along the bay. I tucked myself between an listened to two men discussing situations at the complex. There was nothing unusual in their conversation... so why were we searching this -

Guns fired in the distance from the direction of the skimmer. I quickly swam up into the loading bay on it's underside as it paused to pick me up. The pursuing fighter jets sent a barrage of machine gun fire after us, but the bullets slowed to a crawl in the deep blue water and we were too far submerged by now anyway.

Over their radio frequency, the chatter regarding the search began to die down after a few minutes. One of the fighter pilots suggested they get some life vests for us. His comrades laughed at him. We were gone.

I've been having good, coherent dreams lately, so I'm taking to opportunity to make them a bit more interesting and story-like (well, the ones I can of course.) Hopefully it will make them more interesting to read.

      Relationship Help

In one of my normal classes, I noticed a couple sitting on a table quite dejectedly. I wasn't busy so I sat across from them and asked if there was anything wrong. The guy said nothing at first, then muttered something under his breath. I couldn't make it out, so I asked what he said. They both proceeded to explain that their relationship was on the rocks since he was in college and she was in high school and she'd started losing trust in his fidelity. I didn't quite know what to think, but I assured them they'd both be alright whether they made the relationship work or not - long distance relationships are the hardest to pull off, after all. They agreed. Then my journal says... The guy used to work at a karate place nearby a starbucks that had "your mom" jokes on a board out front. Wtf?
