Convenient Place to Write Down My Dreams

Starting off with my dreams of 8/31/2004 (I can remember 5, saved the more interesting ones for last).

Feel free to post in this thread, suggestions, comments, hate-mail, etc.

      I.
Kind of a vague memory of what was happening, but I remember being in a boat of some kind, might have been a canoe or kayak, with a couple of other boats, and a bigger boat ran down a smaller one, and in the process broke its own hull, and my boat also began to sink for some reason, so everybody was sinking, but it didn't really seem like a big deal.

      II.
I was in Las Vegas with my dad (I've never been to Vegas), and we went to a small airport to get on a plane to meet the family for dinner somewhere nearby. When we got there (to the airport), we found out that the dinner had been moved to within driving distance, because the plane was being repainted. The plane was in the middle of the terminal floor, covered in a thick layer of wet paint (looked all globby), with some big holes cut in the top of the plane. There were wire mesh ramps (for the painters?) on wheels leading up to the top of the plane. The ramps were also adjustable like a see-saw at the middle. My dad and I climbed up the ramps to check out the plane, and then somebody started screwing around with the ramps, tilting them and sliding them around, and it scared the shit out of me (not sure why, in hindsight, it seems like fun), but everybody else was cool with it.

      III.
(I recently moved across country in real life). I wake up in my old room, and the movers have just left, but there's a whole bunch of stuff around the room that they've forgotten. In the dream, they are family heirlooms and projects that I'm working on (apparently in my dreams I like to build model sized wooden house frames), but I've never seen them before in real life. I get way overly anxious about this.

      IV.
I'm driving a really fast car through a hilly city, and it's a lot like a rollercoaster ride. There are giant monsters throughout the city, the one I remember in particular was like a giant slimy eagle (not sure why it was slimy), that I drove under at top speed while it was aiming to eat me. No fear or anything, just enjoying the ride. It was a blast.

This may have been an extension of dream IV. I'm now in a circular room. It's like a bowl shape, very smooth, marble like green walls, a ledge about 10 ft up the opposite wall with a door on it, and a column in the middle of the room, no edges anywhere (except the ledge), all smooth and rounded. There is the giant slimy eagle monster on the opposite side of the column, screaming and slowly coming for us. A girl, also in the room (I get the impression there may have been others as well), wields something she calls a "reduction ray(?)", and shoots a thick red laser beam at the monster. The monster starts to shrink, actually growing younger, until it becomes an egg. We then begin to climb up the wall to the ledge to escape (before it turns back?). Unfortunately, due to the smooth walls, it's very difficult to climb, but I manage eventually by using the corner the ledge is in for leverage. The frightening (to me in the dream) part was when I got up to the ledge, and the door was really small. At this point, I became lucid, not because of the monster, or any of the other weird stuff, but simply because I had no idea why I would be afraid of going through a small door/tunnel. Since I still felt the fear, I decided to try spinning (which I read about yesterday) to remove myself from that location. After that, I lost lucidity, because the next dream that that brought me into was a dream that I had woken up and was sitting at my computer. Don't remember any more.

I'm not sure what any of this means, or if there is a specific common dream sign in there anywhere. Also, to note, I rarely have any nightmares, so I'm not sure why I had so many last night. Feel free to comment if you've any ideas.

      Insight

...Clearly riddled with cues that you should return to Rochester. And the slimy eagle represents your need to bring Meg and Lali back with you.
You should take a look at [link removed] instead of reading this signature.

      More Dreams

Here's a few days worth of dreams:

      Night 1:
      I.
I'm standing outside of a half built doctor's office, a couple of construction workers working inside. There's a weird looking, white plastic, appointment making machine about the size of a counter. It has some large dials, looks like a "futuristic" computer from twenty years ago (not the a lot of flashing lights and wires, but a small number of dials and LEDs, virtually featureless). I ask a construction worker where the Dr. is, he says that they haven't moved in yet.

      II.
I know a guy who built the first ever working plane in his garage. It kind of resembles the WWI war planes and old school crop dusters. He is a villain (not sure why, he just is). He may have had one of those thin, curled waxed mustaches. I have a second plane (borrowed from him) and we take off to go somewhere, he has a girl in his plane also (I do not), and I fly behind him.

      III.
I'm with two girls. Both of them are into me, and I'm into both of them. They confront me (in a congenial manner) and tell me that I have to choose. I'm moving soon (on a plane), and one of them is also moving to the same place, so the choice is easy.

      Maybe planes are dream signs?

      Night 3:
A whole load of my friends are staying at my parents' house (friends I recognize, and can recall upon waking, along with a couple I don't (female)). Most people there play instruments (in real life as well), and we start to jam. I come up with a song (that I remembered the words to on waking) about being a housecat and having life and death power over the owners while they sleep.

No idea. Feel free to comment.
