I will begin to log my dreams via typing. i've carried on a dream journal for more than 2 years now and i will periodically include old dreams along with new ones that will occur.. i am going to intermix normal, non-conscious dreaming with lucid ones because i only dream lucidly once or twice a month..

i've been a member on dV for a while now but i am completely new to posting. So, please tell me if this is not the appropriate place to share my dreams.

my intention of beginning this is to develop a better habit of writing and remembering my dreams and i find typing a quicker alternative to writing. Although i know that reading other people's dreams are not always as interesting as dissecting your own, comments are always welcome!

I'll begin with a brief not-so-brief dream from last night..

I find myself running down an angled slope with many people around me doing the same thing. I know that there is no real reason to be running, and by doing so will only cause myself to trip, but because everyone else is doing it, i feel obligated to. I end up tripping on a bunch of tree roots that are intertwined together. One by one, people begin falling the same place i fell. I'm waiting to get buried underneath all of these people, but it never happens. Instead, the bodies pile at my feet. This allows me to maneuver my way apart from this entanglement and I pick myself up and continue down the slope.
A crowd forms at the bottom of the hill and many people are seen lined up against a fence to my right. These people look extremely worn out and tired and I recognize one of them as an old friend of mine. I ask him why he is so tired and he simply replies, "52:33". I automatically understand that he is describing how fast he ran the marathon. (Context clues?) Although i do not know if '52:33' is a fast time, I know that my friend is a modest being, so I take it that his time was better than his reaction had been.
I suddenly find myself in front of a line for a relay race. I am not ready to run, not to mention how confused I am to find myself in this strange predicament. The 'referee' for this relay race scolded me for not being ready. As a result, I backed up behind a person standing in front of me and bent down to tie my shoe to prolong my race.
It was my turn to race, and as the gun shot off, i felt in total control. At first someone else took the lead but i quickly went ahead of him with ease. I do not run in my waking life and I knew this in my dream. That's what made this run even more impressive for me. I won the race and my father was waiting at the finish line to congratulate me.

As I previously stated, I'm sure this was not very interesting but maybe you guys could help me figure out certain symbols throughout..

thank you and good night!!
