Time: Morning
I was going home from my high school after being in a somewhat humorous educational production about medieval weapons. I had the impression that this was after school. A friend of mine, Josh, needed a ride home, so we were walking to my car, which was parked in the far end of the parking lot. this girl I barely know in real life, Allie, was walking past my car with a friend (some DC that I don't have a real life counterpart to) when she saw my neighbor's dog, Ginger, next to it. She was going to pet the dog, but when I got there, she muttered something, presumably rude, and walked off. Just before getting into my car, another good friend of mine, Suzie, showed up and said something like "Oh, so you're giving me a ride too?" I was fine with that, so she got in too. I started the car and somehow we were now in a different area of the parking lot. I put the car in reverse, but accidentally killed it. (It's a stick). After having some difficulty re-starting it, I got it moving. (The car is older than me, so if the engine kills because it's too cold in the morning or something, it takes like 5-10 minutes to start again.) I executed a HIGHLY illegal move to get onto the road, which involved backing out of an entrance-only opening, across 3 lanes of traffic, and then straightening out with the road, putting the car back into first, and joining traffic.
Next thing I remember I was on a somewhat wooded road, that had a lot of un-plowed snow on it. I put my car in 4-wheel drive and continued. Somehow, out of nowhere, something very fast hit the right side of our car. All forward momentum immediately ceased and we slid left off the road. The wreck was confusing, but I wasn't hurt or anything. I ended up laying in the snow, with car parts strewn around me. I asked if everyone was okay. Suzie and Josh had been thrown from the vehicle as well and landed near me, but they were unharmed. I wondered aloud what the heck hit us. The impact had felt somewhat elastic-y, like the thing that had hit us wasn't just a solid object. I remarked that it had felt like a squishy medicine ball or something. Then I saw a little plastic purple ring in the snow. I immediately knew that it didn't come off of or out of my car, so I got kind of suspicious. I walked back to the road, and was pleased to find my car was still upright, and just a little bit off the road. I could have gotten back on with nothing but 4-wheel drive easily. There was also a small dent in the right side door. Suddenly, the fact that there were car parts strewn 15 feet away from the vehicle seemed unimportant. I was very happy, because if anything happens to that car, it's totaled, but it looked to be in fine condition other than the dent.
I also noticed that across the street, coming down from a hill, was one set of footprints, and then another going back up. I asked Josh some sort of question regarding the accident and he said something like "I bet I know who it was. Andrew (last name censored, because it's a real person)." He said something about one of my 9th grade nicknames, "Gloria" (don't ask). I thought the whole thing was kind of weird.
Next thing I know, I'm back on my street. I don't remember if I was walking or driving, and I think Josh and Suzie were no longer with me. But the incredible hulk was coming down my street, systematically burning and ripping apart houses. Somehow the homeowners of my street would flush him out of the house and he would give this big frustrated/angry groan and move onto the next one. Everyone seemed really calm about the whole thing, and I wasn't scared or anything either. Then all I remember is he was almost at my house, and then I woke up.
I had really good recall on this dream. It sort of came back in three chunks. While the dream itself was not particularly vivid as I recall, some sensations in particular felt very real. The impact of something hitting the car as well as the resulting impact of me hitting snow felt very realistic, minus the pain.
