      Pair of ducks Dream Journal

I am starting this dream jornal today, not having an entry to put in it yet. I am, however, hoping that creating this journal will inspire me to write to it as often as I remember dreams, which in turn should help me recall dreams better. So, tonight will be the night I start the dreaming, snf tomorrow will be my first entry. I most likely will jot down my dreams on paper first, and post them here later in the day, as I have time. Here's to a direct path to lucid dreaming!

      Nothing exciting last night

To my dismay, I had one of those nights where I can't remember too many dreams, and the dreams I did have were the "one-liners"...you know, the ones where you have a line or two of dialogue and the dream vanishes. The only dream I really remember well is where my wife and daughter came home from the hospital (they really are in the hospital right now) and my wife commented on how clean the house looked, and how the laundry pile downstairs was noticeably smaller. I was upstairs near the bedroom when she said this and she was in the livingroom downstairs, and when I awoke I asked myself if I was dreaming, but it was too late.

Maybe I was too stressed about trying to lucid dream. Tonight, I should simply try and relax and fall asleep with the intention of having a good dream...lucid or not.

      Three dreams, One forgotten

Last night, I went to sleep at midnight. Before I fell asleep, I repeated, "I will realize that I am dreaming while I'm dreaming, and I will remember my dreams." I planned to wake up during the night via my cell phone alarm clock and then verbally repeat my dream into an MP3 recorder before falling back asleep. I had three dreams that I remembered, but the middle dream has been lost because I was too lazy to record it.

The first dream occured at 2:30am. I remember one of my wife's female cousins making audio tapes of herself...one speaking in a chipmonk voice, and another in slow-motion. They were supposed to be funny, but weren't really. I remember being in a school playground during the day, possibly late afternoon, when I heard these recordings. I think I was planning on making fun of her, so I made my own recordings and it seems to me that I was broadcasting them over the radio. Now it was night, and I was in my car on the highway. I had the high beams on, but I was not driving. A cop drove past me (on the driver's side) and stopped his car about 30 feet ahead of me. He got out of his car and started looking for something on the highway, as he used the light from my high beams. Then I though it might be funny to turn my high beams off and make him look in the dark. He simply kept looking, but now in the ditch and closer to my car. He proceeded to walk past my car (now behind me) and continue looking. But my driver's side was on the right side (like a foreign car) and I became worried that he might creep up on my and scare me, so I tried to drive away, but my seat was reclined and I had to raise it up before putting the car in gear. I didn't get to drive away before I woke up.

The second dream occured at 4:00am and was not recorded. I can't remember it for the life of me, although I thought I might be able to at the time.

At 4:45am, my alarm went off.

Then, at 7:30am, I had my last dream. I dreamed that I was in a Home Alone "movie", but I was not acting, and the thieves were really after me. I was a child, but also an adult as I am now. Kinda hard to figure out or explain, but I was like a 12 year old Kevin McCallister. We were in a mall, like The West Edmonton Mall, and there was a department store, like Wal Mart, where everything took place. We were running up and down escalators, and I was hiding behind large Christmas gift displays. I was also trying to keep away from the store manager, a young attractive girl. She thought that I was responsible for the havoc. Then, near the end of the dream, I managed to get the thieves in a trap where they were sucked up in a large...pop fountain? They were spewed out of the top of the store's roof in a humorous way, along with a huge squirt of pop! But then the store manager caught me and I had to explain to her that I was not responsible for this. After I explained everything, she was greatful. We were in an area of the store where there were sweaters, I think, on racks. She was on one side, and I was on the other, but we were still only a foot or two from eachother. Then she said, "We should kiss" and I wasn't sure because I was only a kid, but she wasn't much older. So I went to kiss her, and she was a Christmas ornament, wrapped in plastic! I think she was a Christmas tree ball ornament. Very strage. Next, she was a girl again and we started to walk toward the mall entrance. Then I awoke.

In all of this, I still did not lucid dream. But I'm sure my time will come!

      Three more, maybe four

Very short, and very strange...The Doctor's Office

I was in a doctor's office, and the receptionist's desk was in a huge room, kind of dark grey. In fact, I'd say the room was so large, I could not see the walls or ceiling. It was almost like a huge grey room of nothingness! On the floor, there was a walkway leading up to the receptionist's desk. The walkway was made up of pilons, or stands...like the kinds you see at bank line-ups.

I had gone up to the receptionist's desk to register my 3 year old daughter, who was also with me. But apparently, I had to fill out some forms, so I had to go back down the walkway where there were benches, and fill out these forms. Meanwhile, there were other lines leading to the receptionist's desk, and I didn't want people to get in front of me. I remember re-arranging the lines so that they were forming a bit of a circle.

The receptionist's daughter was also there, and I was hoping that she wouldn't get in to see the doctor before my daughter did. I guess I didn't think that was fair. Oh, and the receptionist was a gothic girl, wearing black, having a knee-high skirt with long stockings. She was a really happy/bubbly person. Nothing really happened in the dream. In fact, it seemed that the most exciting thing in the dream was me re-arranging the walkways!

      Blast From The Past

This dream took place at my wife's parent's house in the city. (They don't live in the city.) It involved me, my wife (but she was my girlfriend in the dream, and we were much younger), my wife's brother, and their mom. I remember the dream starting out in the back yard of this house, and I was walking along the side of the house to the front yard. Everyone in the dream was involved with pulling weeds in the lawn. Sometimes a shovel was used to remove the weeds, and sometimes we just pulled the weeds out by hand. At one point, my wife (girlfriend) had mentioned to me that "this one's not a weed, it's a tree, so don't pull it out". She said it with a smile, and I think she was high up, like on the roof of the house when she said it. And when she was inside (I saw her at the livingroom window now, all of a sudden) I waited until she wasn't looking and I pulled that tree out of the ground. It was just a scronny little thing, like a weed, but had strong roots.

Now, it was time to go inside and get cleaned up, and I went into the bathroom. There was a shower head above the bathroom sink, where I could wash my hands. And there was the same shower head in the shower also, where my mother-in-law was bathing her son (40 years old). My mother-in-law mentioned how he was allergic to the weeds, but not near as bad as his brother (who is actually passed away in real life and wasn't visible in the dream). I thought it was strange that she was babying her 40 year old son, but none of it dawned on me that it might be a dream until I woke up.

      Watching Porn On Company Time

Another VERY brief dream that I had was that I was at work, trying to find a computer that would allow access to a porn site, but I was not having luck, and I was thinking I should stop looking. The last room I was in before I woke up was the last portable class....closest to the parking lot.

Who Left The Fan On? EXTERMELY SHORT dream.

It took me a long time to fall back asleep at one point during the night, and I heard the furnace shut off, and then immediately come back on. Usually, that's a sign that the furnace filter needs changing. I was restless, hoping that the furnace was not "struggling" to force air through the clogged filter. Then I thought that I had heard the thermostat "click" off, and so I waited to hear the furnace fan shut off also. I must have waited five minutes and it was still blowing. Then I thought that my mother-in-law (who had been babysitting my 3 year old that night while I was at work) might have set the fan to "always on", although I don't know why she would have done that. I wanted to get up to check, but I was too tired. I looked at the time, and it was 5am. A couple of minutes later, I looked again, and it was indeed 5:02am. I was not dreaming....YET!

But I did drift off without noticing, because the next think I knew, I finally got up to look at the thermostat to see if the fan was set to "always on". When I got to the thermostat, it had a switch with so many positions on it, I couldn't figure out what it was set at. (The thermostat has two switches on it...one for fan - On, Auto, and one for furnace mode - Off, Cool, Heat) I finally convinced myself that the fan was set to "always on" and just went back to bed....and I woke up hitting myself for not realizing it was a dream!

Sleepless night - no dream recall

Sick children make for sleepless nights! I actually had one dream, but it was at 3:30am when I woke up to my crying 3 year old, and I rushed to her side. The dream became lost, but it was almost as if I remember working on a high building rooftop. The rest of the night was spent on the floor next to my daughter's bed falling asleep for minutes at a time...sometimes as much as 45 minutes, but I am too exhausted to try and recall any dreams I may have had.

      Trying to remember more

Last night, as I began to fall asleep, I started entering the first stage of SP. I usually hear voices. And for some reason, I heard the words "It inspires storks". Don't ask me what inspires storks! Anyway, I woke up and had to record that, because I thought it was funny!

The first dream I woke up to was pretty much totally lost. My cell phone alarm went off at 4am and I fumbled to turn it off. After that, I lay very still, with closed eyes, but all I could remember is being in the hospital main entrance. Couldn't remember anything else. Basically just a snapshot of the main entrance. I may stop setting the alarm.

How Do You Treat Your New Friends?

This dream was quite bizzare. It involved an internet questionaire, or quiz, rather. Each question was represented by a circle, and the questions were narrated as I read them. The circles were in columns of two, with each pair being offset. So question one would be at the top left hand corner of the screen, and question two would be beside it, but a little bit further down. Kinda so that the circles were zig-zagged down the screen.

Anyway, the quizz was all about how we treat our new friends. There was a famous actor who played the new friend. (Not Jeff Daniels, but someone who reminds me of him, and I can't remember who he is or what movie he's in, but I still see his face...I'll think of his name later, or look it up on IMDB if I can think of what movies he's been in. *EDIT* - It's Tom Arnold I was thinking of. He was in my dream.) The questions were asked by a narrator (*EDIT* - Tom Arnold was narrator), as well as being read (as I said earlier), but I was also right INSIDE the quizz, so I experienced the different scenarios.

      Question one was:
"The pastor is the first one to your house. Do you pull out the beer?"
      The correct answer was:
"No...you wait until everyone has arrived before starting the party, otherwise you'll look desparate for friends!"
And as I said, I was experiencing the scenario.

      Question two was something like:
"This new friend (*EDIT* - Tom Arnold) is sleeping on the couch while you, your girl friend and another guy friend are having a mini-party of your own in the bedroom all night long with the door closed (not x-rated, by the way). In the morning, your girl friend asks you if you want a ride home. Do you accept?
      The correct answer was:
"No...you say 'no thanks' because you want to stay and spend more time with your new friend (presumably because he was sleeping while you were partying)."
Again, I was in the scenario.

I don't remember what question 3 and up were. Actually, I think I woke up after that. Well, thank goodness I know how to treat new friends now!

      The Friends Across The Street

The dream started out with me near my house, on the street. My father-in-law's truck was parked on the main road and he was talking to a guy about some kind of solution to make his truck run better. The guy who he was talking to was apparently my friend. Not someone I've actually met in real life. This friend of mine was a bit shady...like a drug lord. he was making this solution in his house for my f-i-l's truck. And I guess I was hoping my f-i-l would like this stuff, because I felt I needed his approval of my friend.

The friend's house was just across the street. I ended up going over there, and went downstairs, where the solution was being made. I can vaguely remember how it looked down there. There were other people down there, too. Anyway, the solution was thick with lumps in it. It reminded me of pork and beans in a can, but blue or green! Once the solution was ready, I was to go upstairs and out the side door. There were about 4 or 5 wooden stairs going down to the sidewalk, and I could easily see my f-i-l's truck across the street from where I was standing. My job was to spill the solution on the stairs and ground, where it was supposed to make its way across the street and seep into the truck's engine. But it didn't look like it was going to make it. There wasn't enough. I was scraping this solution out of a cooking pot with a spoon I think.

THEN (this is weird) there was a white animated-cartoon looking face in my dream which appeared to my left and was in the sky, but was right next to me. As this face opened it's mouth, I would bash out some teeth with the handle of a corn broom. It would then cry, but as I said, it was not real looking, so I didn't feel bad for bashing it. The teeth were rounded, like potato chips, and this whole thing was a two-dimentional object in my three-dimantional dream. (I was still outside the side door of my friend's house, across the street from my f-i-l's truck.) Twice I bashed teeth out, and twice it cried. When I awoke, my three year old was calling out from her bedroom because she was awake! Probably incorporated her voice into my dream!

      New Technique, But Not Tonight

Last night, I decided to try something new. Since my dream recall is not so bad, I thought I'd try a lucid dream. But since I'm only remembering a couple minutes worth of my dreams, I feared that I might not have a chance to do a RC, or that if I did one, I might have forgotten I did in the morning. So instead, I tried to induce a DILD with the sound of my voice.

Last night, I recorded myself saying, "Dan, you're dreaming". I had Windows Media Player play that message every minute or so before falling asleep last night, and then I had Windows Media Player play nothing but silence for over four hours. After that four hours, my message was scheduled to play again, hopefully while I was in a REM cycle, in hopes that my subconscious would hear it, but would not wake me up. The message would then alert me to the fact that I'm dreaming.

I never made it past the 4 hours of silence before my daughter woke me up. She had been sick again and we didn't fall back to deep sleep. I hope to try again tonight. This time, I may have the message play after 2 and 4 hours of silence. I've never had a LD, and I'm quite excited to have one, but I'm also willing to be patient. It's like they say...good things come to those who wait, or they best things in life are worth witing for.

But in my short night of sleep, I did have a short dream. It was after my daughter and I had woken up. We came down to the couch to watch television. Actually, we came down to the couch so I could keep her happy watching television, while I tried sleeping some more! I was reclined on the couch and she was next to me. I drifted off every now and again, and the sound of the T.V. would sometimes wake me. Then, she wanted to watch a movie...Beauty and the Beast. But I couldn't figure out what she was saying at first (She says she wants to watch "Beats" ). When I finally did figure it out, I was too groggy and tired to get the movie. But as I drifted off, I had a very vivid dream that my daughter brought some movies to me. I was on the couch, reclined, just as in real life, but the movies she brought to me had cases like the ones you get from the movie rental store. I opened the movie she wanted to watch, but the disc was not inside. I had to slide out another inner case from the bottom of the first case! It made sense to me in the dream, but when I woke up (and I woke up from the T.V. becoming silent, believe it or not) I realized how weird it was. I think I even incorporated the T.V.'s silence in my dream just before I woke up.

      The Foreign Country Accident

I didn't record any of my dreams last night, and therefore, I only remember this last one. So I'll type fast!

A friend of mine was headed for a foreign country for some kind of work. It was a friend I actually know. And on his first day there, I found out that he got into an accident with his car. He hit a large pillar, like a statue or piece of art. I don't think he was well liked after that.

Maybe later that day, or even the next day, I tried calling my friend (Dennis, by the way) from my cell phone. I can almost remember the number. It started with a 1, and ended with 666. 4666 I think were the last four digits. It was a pretty long number. I was with someone at work, and work wasn't the usual place. The person I was with said that I won't be able to dial out of country with my cell phone. But I tried anyway. My cell phone is the kind that has a hands-free ear-peice (not bluetooth) that I can speak commands into, like "call" and then the number. I use it in real life all the time. In my dream, I started saying, "call 1..." (whatever the rest of the number was, seems to me it was a 1 877 number!) But I didn't finish saying the whole number at first, because I had to keep looking at it and was either losing track of where I left off, or there were other noises distracting me, like kids running around. I think I was in a cafeteria at this point. Well, the first attempt to call the number failed, but on the second attempt, I finished saying the whole number, which ended in 4666. Then my cell phone said something like, "You're kidding, right?" and wouldn't dial that long number, proving the person I was with was right.

I don't remember what exactly happened next, but soon I was in this foreign country. I was driving around exploring alone at first, and later met up with my friend, Dennis. I remember driving around, worried I might get into the same accident he did. There was a popular food spot, where I went to. That's where the accident had taken place. It was like a large parking lot. And while there, I ordered eggs, and some other food. But I think it was buffet style. I remember feeling cautious about the people and authorities in this country. I didn't want to make a mistake of any kind. I did interact with some of the locals, I believe, but the dream is becomming fuzzy as I type. One thing I di remember is that it may have been the next meal, or even the next day, I went back to this popular food spot. This time, I met Dennis there. I ordered the exact same this as before. We found a high up place to sit, and he was showing me the place the accident had occured. The pillar he had hit looked small and was a dull-looking silver and was rnot dammaged. At one point, it looked like a large inflatable! I don't remember much else from the dream. I think that's exactly where I woke up.

      Deux More

First off, I got a chance to try my technique (described two posts earlier) and everything played all the way through this time. But as far as I can remember, no lucid dreams. Instead, I had two vivid dreams.

      Trapped On The Roof

First, I was on the roof of my house. There was a ladder going from the ground to the higher roof (I have a 4 level split). My 3 year old daughter was on the ground and could not climb the ladder, which was a good thing, because I was trying to keep away from her. It was a game, but I was also afraid of her. It was like a fairy-tale, also. Maybe I was waiting for someone to come rescue me?

Anyway, as I was running around on the roof, my daughter would follow from the ground. I could not climb down the ladder or else she would be at the bottom waiting for me. So, I went to the back side of the roof and jumped off and landed either on to the deck or on the lawn behind it. My daughter then started chasing me and I had to get through the gate to the front yard. The gate is (in real life) hard to open, and I was having trouble openning it in the dream also. Thing is, I was openning it from the back yard, and in real life, it's hard to open from the front yard. Anyway, I managed to get through and back to the ladder at the front of the house. I can't remember why I wanted to get off the roof in the first place...maybe I needed to use the bathroom.

Well, my daughter was very frustrated and mad that she didn't catch me as I climbed to safety. But then, as I got closer to the roof, I noticed the ladder was awefully close to the edge of the roof, and even the slightest movement to the right could cause the ladder to fall. So I tried to be careful, and as I reached for the roof, the 'Back To The Future' score was playing! I tried to think of the best parts of the score to help me climb safely to the roof. And that's when I awoke.

      Superstore Adventure

This dream was quite vivid. It started out with me at Superstore in the front, just outside the store. The carts were right there, too. A guy I know (Ian, from the youth program a few years ago) was in the dream. The shopping carts have seats for children to sit in, and on the cart there were instructions on how to put the child in. The instructions were: "Sit in seat and push" to which Ian proceeded to sit in the child seat like a dork. He just sat there, as if to wait for someone to come along and push him in the cart.

Then I got the idea that I would sit in the cart and push myself! So, I climbed in the child seat section and managed to self-propell myself foreward. But instead of sitting in the child seat section facing the back of the cart, I was facing the front, with the handle in front of me. The doors to Superstore opened and I started gaining speed simply by pushing on the cart's handle. Superstore looked like a giant warehouse inside, with forklifts and everything. I couldn't figure out how to slow down or stop, and then I saw the deli section, which had a rubber rail in which I steered the cart into to try and slow it down. It wasn't working all that well, and I steered even harder. That seemed to work, but I still hit the end pretty hard. Then I got out and I think I walked the shopping cart back outside. But I wasn't done in Superstore. I wanted to shop some more.

As I shopped, a Superstore employee came over the speakers and announced that someone had lost a 20 dollar bill in the men's change room. I just kept shopping. I think I was in a Chinese section of the store. Then, a short while later, the Superstore employee came back over the speaker saying that the 20 dollars still hadn't been found. I had mentioned to someone, that Superstore is probably trying to rip people off. I said, "If we go and look for the 20 dollars and don't find it, they'll take our 20 dollars because they'll think we did find it and were trying to steal it". But even still, I decided to try and find this money. I had to go past the service counter and just beyond that were the change rooms. But I couldn't figure out which was the men's. I looked to my left and saw a changeroom that had the word "Tey" over it. I thought that might be another language for "Men", so I went inside. There, I saw a bunch of women, boobs and all, sitting in a hot tub! I quickly left and went to the other changeroom. (Man I'm kicking myself now!)

The other change room had shelves in it, and a small staircase going up to those shelves. I was with a small group of guys, who were also looking for this 20 bux. We climbed up the stairs and walked along the shelves. And when I reached the end of one wall, I decided to test the next shelf to see it it was secured to the brackets, but it wasn't. I started feeling insecure about where I was. And the shelf I was now sitting on started to bow in the middle, and I fell through and landed on the floor. But I was not hurt. Now, I was in a small workshop with tools. One of the guys who was with me looking for the $20 was now putting together a tool box for himself. There were screws all over the work counter, and I asked him where the #7 screws were. He showed me they were all still there, and then told me that he was going to start adding to his tool kit as he got more tools (kind of in reference to how I'm adding entries to this dream journal as I get more dreams). And it was only seconds later that I woke up to my newborn crying.

      No Dream Recall

Last night was a bit dissappointing. However, I did learn something. Once again, I tried inducing a DILD by playing my voice at 2 hours and 5 hours of sleep. I had the volume a little loud and ended up waking myself up both times. The message that plays is, "Dan, you're dreaming". At 2am, I woke up to a loud "dreaming". I didn't hear the first two words. And at 5am, I woke up to "you're dreaming". Just thought it might be something to record. So either the volume was too loud, or the technique itself is not working.

Oh, and I tried focusing on an object last nght before falling asleep so that if I dreamed about it, it would induce a MILD. But I don't recall a single dream, so....oh, well. Last night sucked, but that's not going to get me down!

      The Bus Ride From Church

Last night I almost let this one slip away. It seems to be getting harder to remember my dreams. But I dreamed that my parents were back together and we were at church. We were sitting in what I remember being a balcony section. It might have been one of my siblings, either my brother or sister, but someone else was with my parents. It seems to me it was a toddler.

I had decided I wanted to sit somewhere else, and my parents wanted to make sure I wasn't going to leave the church service. I told them I just wanted to sit somewhere lower. But then the dream changed and soon I was on a bus. There was a young aboriginal girl (high school age) whos face I can almost still remember. She had some bags with her I think, and when it was time for her to get off the bus, she went to the front of the bus and lay down on her stomach with her face up close to the doors. It was a low ride bus with no stairs. When the doors opened, she got off, but her shoes got caught in between the bus and a wall which the bus was right up next to. It makes absolutely no sense right now, but in my dream it did. I slid her shoes along the bus (in between the bus and this wall) until I could lift them up where there was a bit more space between. I was on the bus this whole time. When she had her shoes back, I sat in a spot close to the front of the bus and started making conversation with the driver. The driver looked like Terence Stamp. We had a brief conversation which I can't remember before I woke up.

      Spilled Fruit Cups

Last night I dreamed I was in my kitchen with my wife and my mother-in-law. I don't remember what happened before the kitchen, but my memory begins with us three in the kitchen and there was a cupboard or drawer with plastic fruit cups inside. I remember something like a wooden flap that opened up by lifting it on the right side (left side was either hinged or just sat there). There were fruit cups under it, and I (not out of anger, I don't think) would slam it down and ended up with dammaged fruit cups. But at the same time, there were fruit cups on top of this flap. At one time, there was one fruit cup under the flap and the rest were on top. I was trying to find a good one to give to my wife, but it seemed they were all wet from spilled juice from inside. I turned some up side down and they would leak because of a hole in the lid. Others I turned up side down because they were leaking from the bottom, and turning them up side down kept them from leaking.

My mother-in-law made a comment about how she told me that wasn't a good place for the fruit cups to go. I basically just ignored her. And then my sister-in-law was supposed to come over also. My wife and her mom were going to meet her at our house for something. And since my M-I-L was already at the house early, they were thinking of calling my S-I-L to ask if they could meet early.

This dream didn't seem to have any point, and the main focus was on those fruit cups. But then I think I must have either had a second very short dream, or this might have been part of the fruit cup dream, but I went upstairs to my newborn's room, where she was making noise. And to my surprise, she had turned herself around in her crib. She was still swaddled, but just not laying straight in her crib. She was turned so she was at a 45 degree angle. And I awoke to the sound of her getting upset. (But when I went into her room, she was laying straight!)

Very Looooong Dream - in my mind

I had more than one dream last night, but I have been trying my skills at remembering them on my own, so I didn't record them at the time. Well, needless to say, the first dream got away. But the last one was a doozey. I didn't record it right away, either, so I hope I can remember it all.

      The Magic Numbers

First off, I was involved in a magic trick that someone had shown me. It might have been my friend Dennis. It involved picking numbers, naming hotels, and guessing distances from one place to another. I was very impressed with how the magic trick worked and I wanted to learn the secret. Well, I got to learn. I also got this tin box with a lid and inside there were different levels, or shelves that you take off after asking each question to the spectator. The box was maybe 18 inches high, and was 8-10 inches square. I think I remember it being red with gold designs.

Once I knew the secret, I wanted to perform this trick on others. We were either in a hospital ward hallway, or it was the basement of my house, but it looked nothing like my house. It was a long, narrow hallway with bedrooms to the left of where I was standing. I was performing for a lady. I told her it was really cool, especially the second question (and I can't remember what that is now). She was quite excited to do this and get amazed. I also had a friend, Perry, who was getting this trick performed on. Either Dennis was performing this trick on him, or another lady. It wasn't totally clear, but Dennis was still in the dream at this point. The lady I was performing for was going to give me an answer to a question I had asked her, and the answer she privided would then be inside the box. I don't remember the question, but I do remember that I was asking her to hold off on answering for a bit. In the meantime, Perry was asked to think of two numbers and say them outloud. He thought of 4 and 3, and whoever was performing the trick on him said, "You're thinking of the numbers 45 and 33" and Perry was amazed.

Meanwhile, the lady I was performing for was still excited for me to reveal her answer from the box, but I was still not ready for her to say her answer yet. I think she was working, folding laundry or something. She was moving from one part of the hall to the end behind me. At the end behind me, there was another hallway around the corner (to the left), but I never got to see what was there. And I was always getting distracted by something, and it seemed like an hour had passed and I still hadn't revealed that blasted answer to that woman. But I did have the lid to the box off, and almost took off the first shelf, or level, at one point. The shelf was a white plastic piece.

Well, I STILL hadn't moved along with this magic trick, and I then heard my three year old daughter calling for me. She was in one of the bedrooms on the left side of the hall. My mom had gone in to check on her, and came back out saying, "She was asking for him". I said, "Dennis? Or no, Perry?" or something to that effect (where I mentioned both names). Then she said that my daughter was calling him daddy. I was quite upset, but Perry thought it was funny. And within a few seconds, I woke up to my daughter calling for me.

      An Afternoon Dream

My wife and daughter gave me the chance to catch up on a few z's early this afternoon, with a few minor interruptions. But in that hour and a bit, I remember one dream.

      The Restaurant

My 3 year old daughter and I were in a restaurant, but for some reason we were not sitting together. I was sitting at a table near the front door. In fact it was the table nearest to the door. I was facing the door...it was on my right. And just on the other side of the door was the counter where you pay. My daughter was sitting at a small table in front of that counter.

So, the set-up is: walk into the restaurant and to the immediate right is the small table where my daughter was sitting, next to the cashier counter. And to the right is where I was sitting, about 10 feet away.

My daughter was sitting all alone, but every once in a while, a waitress would stop by her table to talk with her. I had my eye on my daughter the entire time. And then a short while later, my mother-in-law came into the restaurant and gave my daughter some paper and crayons. She basically left as quick as she came. The waitrasses were encouraging my daughter with her drawings. And then I decided that it was time to go get my daughter and go home. Thing is, I don't think either one of us actually ate.

Once I was at my daughter's table, I saw what she had been doing with the paper and crayons. She had made simple scribblings on the paper, but then folded the paper into a desert menu...a triangle...held together with a plastic clip! I was totally impressed, as were the waitresses!

Then, I kneeled down and proceeded to put a winter parka on my daughter. Only she was already wearing a thick coat or bunny hug or something already. And as I was kneeled down, two girls walked into the restauant and one of them rubbed her legs against my shoulder. She was apparently flirting with me. One of the witresses must have known the girls, and aksed what they were doing there. I think I remember the sound of Christmas bells in the dream, too, but it's a bit fuzzy. I finally got the parka on my daughter and zipped it up. Then I stood up and saw that these girls were around 12 years old. I think they were flirting with me because I had my daughter with me. And then I awoke to my wife and daughter comming to wake me up.

It was a refreshing sleep! Man I needed that!

      Work Symbolism

This dream took place in my back yard. Along the back fence, there were barrels of garbage. One specifically was full of leaves and other debris. It was only about half full. I stepped on it to compress it down even more, and then it was almost completely empty. I remember feeling like it was symbolic of how hard I was working, which wasn't very hard at all. I also had the feeling like it was the beginning of another school year, or maybe it was the beginning of another calendar year. Either way, I was going back to work on evenings. And I remembered all the previous years and how I did the same thing every new year. It was quite a real and overwhelming feeling...very difficult to explain. Basically a flooding of memories with strong emotions.

Then I was on my deck. My dad was inside the kitchen along with someone else, who I paid very little attention to. Out on the deck, there were other people also. They were workers...perhaps school board workers. I was looking for a small square tub to collect food in for the food bank. I had a large food bank bin outside my front yard (which I really do), and had it moved to the school's front yard via a school board truck. I figured maybe people in that area of town could donate food before the food bank picked up the bin.

When I finally found a suitable tub, a white one, I went inside to wash it out. But before I did, I explained to the others out on the deck the proceedures to take when the tub gets full of food. Inside the kitchen, I talked with my dad a fair bit. I explained to him where the large bin was. He thought it was not a good idea to have moved the bin into such a rough area. Then I agreed that people might actually steal from the bin, rather than donate to it. Oh well, there was nothing I could do now.

I simply awoke from this dream at that point. I don't think I woke to hearing any children calling or crying this time!

      ***EDIT***
I needed to get to work and therefore had not enough time to enter all my dreams. So here is the rest.

      The Vasectomy

This horribly disturbing (and short) dream took place in a doctor's office. I was in to see the doctor to get a vasectomy, but I'm almost 100 percent positive this is NOT how they do them! As I sat on the table naked from the waste down, the doctor proceeded to tell me how he's going to put a needle (like a needle and thread) into the hole in my penis! I was SOOOO freaked out!!!! When the time came to do the proceedure, he assured me that I would only feel a tiny prick, and that helped me feel better!

(I'm actually scheduled to get a vasectomy, so this dream scares me quite a bit!)

      Our Lost Cat

This dream involved a cat we used to have. Her name is Heidi and she is really a very skiddish cat. We gave her away in fall, and miss her dearly, for we fear she may have actually died because she ran away from the new home.

Anyway, in the dream she was back with us. She is a black cat, but in the dream her black fur was mixed with grey and she looked old and not well. I was holding her and she was going to get her back claws removed. But to do this, they were going to grind them down. There were several vets in the room, and the room was like a doctor's office. I was on a bed, legs extended out in front of me while holding Heidi. She was really fighting to get away, and I was trying to calm her by telling her in a calm voice that "it's okay". The vets were testing the grinder out on an eraser, and then they left for a bit. While they were gone, Heidi did calm down a bit, but I still had to hold her tightly so she wouldn't run away. Shortly after they left, the vets all came back in the room, and Heidi was squirming a lot again, shedding fur all over me. Then I woke up.

      The Forest Get-Away

As has been usual, I had more than one dream, but lost all but this one.

I was in a National Parks area with old houses spaced far apart. It was a forest with narrow sand paths going this way and that. In the north, just one house away, there was an angry man who, for some reason, wanted to get me. I ran toward the south as FAST AS I COULD. I was trying to find a hiding spot as close to the edge of the forest as possible. I guess I figured that if I hid well enough, he would stop pursuing me...for good.

I ran past a few old houses and then finally came to the one that I thought would be best to hid on top of. It was a round house and I was going to climb on the roof. The roof had a flat outer edge and the middle was a tall cone. This man was still hot on my trail, and I figured I could fool him by always being on the opposite side of the house as he was. But then it seemed like he wasn't angry any more, and I think other people, or at least one other person, was with him, trying to tell me it's okay now.

All of a sudden, the scene changed and I was in my kitchen, still hiding. This time from my 3 year old, and it was now for fun. I carefully crept toward the stairs and saw my daughter and wife upstairs at the nursery, but it seemed like my 3 year old's room. When my daughter saw me, I pretended to come chase her and she got all excited and my wife was trying to get her to go into the room to go to sleep. Then I woke up. (And my 3 year old had been calling for me from her room earlier in the night. I didn't get up though. I heard my wife go into the room and ask her to go to sleep. Maybe that's why I had the dream?)

      Sad and Lonely

This was a long and vivid dream I had while I was playing movie score softly as I slept.

I was in a 1950's style restaurant with some friends. My friend Dennis was there also...he seems to be a reoccurring DC, I don't know why I don't recognize that yet. Anyway, among Dennis and some other friends was also my wife and 3 year old daughter (also reoccurring DCs). The restaurant was also busy with other people.

I remember a VERY tall ladder going up to the area to place orders. Dennis was ahead of me and he climbed right to the top of the ladder, and climed on to the second level floor. I had a single shot glass of liquor, or so I remember. I was also very nervous on this high ladder. I felt 'woozy' from the height of it, but I think the waitress taking orders must have thought it was because I was drunk, which I was not. At one point, I think I climbed right up on to the floor where Dennis and all the others were sitting at a table, waiting for their food to come. But then, I climbed back on to the ladder and waited to place my order.

I ordered a pita style sandwich...maybe a wrap or something like that, with a soft drink and some ice cream. I got the pop right away, and had to wait for the rest of my food. I was going to be called when the food was ready. When I was done ordering, I went back down the ladder. There were other people behind (below) me on the ladder, but I wanted to just go down after placing my order, not back up, and I think some of the people were disgusted with me for doing that.

Once back on the main floor, I waited for my name to be called. There were tables on the main floor also, and I was waiting at a table near a phone booth. All my friends up top had their food now, and I expected mine to be ready soon too, since I hadn't ordered long after them. But then the people who ordered after me got their food. At first, I thought that maybe they ordered something which was quick and easy to make. But after a long time and I still hadn't got my food, I started to wonder if I missed hearing them call my name. I was pretty sure they were going to call, "Dan" when my food was ready.

Now all my friends, including my wife, were done eating. I was STILL waiting to hear my name. NOTHING! Then all my friends and my wife said they were going. I don't remember the entire dialogue, but I think they said, "hopefully your food comes soon" and then they all left. By now, the restaurant was getting quiet. People were putting on their coats and leaving all over. I remember seeing my in-laws taking my 3 year old home. I watched as they left the restaurant. I was getting lonely.

Now, I wanted to know whether I had missed hearing them call me, so I climed back up the ladder and looked at the orders on the counter. Sure enough, they were all labelled by people's names, and I hadn't heard my name so I knew I didn't miss it. Then I asked one of the waitresses when my food was coming. She looked confused at first, and then looked through the orders. Once she found mine and realized they had forgotten about it, she simply said it would be 5 or 10 minutes longer, as if to hide their mistake. I went back down the ladder and waited more. After 10 minutes passed and I hadn't heard my name, I went back up to inquire again about my order. By now, I was the last person in the entire restaurant, except for a few workers who were cleaning up. When I asked a second time where my food was, they apologized because they had forgotten about it again. This time, they offered me a refund. They refunded me for the sandwich, the ice cream, and the pop, even though I had already received that. Then I went back down the ladder, feeling very sad and lonely, being the only customer in the whole place. I don't remember crying, but I was quite emotionally hurt, and if I wasn't shedding tears, my heart was. I missed out on an evening with my friends, and I was all alone.

I pulled out my cell phone to call my wife. I opened it up, but it didn't light up, so I assumed it was off. I went to turn it on by pressing and holding the 'End' button (which is actually how the phone really works in RL) but it wouldn't turn on. Then I realized it wouldn't turn on because my wife was calling me. I answered the phone and talked with her for a short time. She asked me if I saw our daughter leave the restaurant, and I said I had. Apparently, my daughter was already back home. Then I told my wife that I still hadn't received my food, and that they gave me a refund. I was so depressed and sad. And then I woke up.

      The Frozen Swimming Pool

I remember two dreams from last night....STILL no lucids!!!

      The Frozen Swimming Pool

This dream took place in a large house which I felt was mine, although it looked nothing like it. It may have been the in-law's house, too. But as I said, I felt it was mine.

I had turned the house into a fun house for children. My 3 year old daughter was there along with my sister's children as well as a friend of my daughter's named Gaby. My mom was there, too. The house was a two level house with a basement. The main level had two staircases going up to the second level. Both staircases ran parallel to each other and were about 5-10 feet apart. The main level ceiling was the same height as the second level ceiling, so the main level was very high.

I had turned both staircases into slides, so two children could slide down to the main level at the same time. On the main floor was more entertainment. But I don't remember what specifically that was, but a trampoline may have been there. And that's where most everyone was (on the main floor), except for me, my daughter, and her friend Gaby. Standing on the second floor facing the main floor, I was at the right stairwell. My daughter had already gone down the left side stairwell/slide and I was going down the right side as Gaby went down the left side at the same time. I only went down once, as far as I can remember, but Gaby wanted to go down more. Once we were on the main floor, everyone decided they would go to the basement. My daughter, Gaby, and myself were the only three left on the main floor. But once my daughter decided to go downstairs too, I also went, leaving Gaby by herself.

Once in the basement, there was a medium - large size swimming pool which was frozen over. It was being used as a skating rink, except everyone was simply using their shoes and not skates. Even my daughter was on the ice at one point. My mom, however, was not. I got on the ice and remembered that Gaby was upstairs all by herself and said to my mom, "Don't you feel bad that Gaby's all by herself upstairs?" to which my mom replied, "No, because if she wanted to come down, she would."

Then my daughter left the ice and went back upstairs to be with Gaby. I stayed on the ice and explored a bit. I noticed detail in the ice and surrounding area. The floor surrounding the pool was also made of ice and was sculptured look like bricks. It was very nice looking. Very intricate design. As I walked across the frozen pool width-wise, I noticed a tree which I remember cutting down earlier. The tree was in the middle of the pool and was completely covered under the ice. The top of the tree (where it was cut off) actually came almost to the ice's surface. As I walked over the tree, I looked down and noticed just how deep the pool was. It was probably 20 feet deep or more. The ice was so clear, I could see right to the bottom with no problem. Then I began to get nervous. Seeing how deep the pool was, I hoped that the water was completely frozen. Or at least frozen enough to handle the weight of everyone on the ice, which was at least three or four others, besides me.

Once I reached the other side of the pool, I stomped my foot down hard. The ice felt very solid, and it was very slippery. I slipped and fell on my butt, and that's when I heard the horrifying sound of cracking ice. Almost immediately, I went through. But I had the edge of the pool to hold on to. The others were in the middle of the pool somewhere. I didn't actually see them, but I knew they were there. They also went through. Right away, my mom shouted out in a panicked voice, "Don't anybody move!!!" The others had large pieces of ice to hold on to, and if they moved or panicked too much, they might drown. Then I started to feel very cold. I was shivering, having a hard time holding on to the edge. I asked my mom to phone 9-1-1 and she asked why. She sounded like she was not concerned anymore. Then I explained that I was hyperventilating, but what I think I meant was I was going into hypothermia. And that's when I woke up.

      No Renovations For You!

The last dream was much shorter.

In real life now, my wife and I are getting renovations done to the house starting Jan. 11 (or starting the week of). We have a hard time getting a hold of the contractor, and often just leave messages for him.

In the dream now, my wife said the contractor had returned one of our many calls. He was quite upset and asked us to stop calling. I asked my wife if he sounded pretty upset, and she said he did. So, instead of calling his business number, I called him at home close to supper. I spoke to him and told him I apologized for the frequent calls, and said we would not call anymore until he starts the work on January 11. Then he said, "What makes you think I'm starting your work on January 11th?" Then I said, "Well maybe not on that day, but that week, right?" and he told me that he's not going to do our renovations. I felt like we were hooped because we've purchased all these materials and now we have no one to do the work! And then I awoke.

      Plunge It!

Last night I tried some more techniques to aid in lucid dreaming. I focused on a cup of pop, even drank from it, and performed reality checks while looking at the cup or holding it in hopes I would dream about it and perform those same reality checks. I can't remember dreaming about the cup, but I did have a dream.

      Plunge It!

This wacky dream started out with me hearing my wife trying to plunge the toilet. She was getting frustrated and the plunging was getting faster and faster, and I was getting tired of hearing it, but I thought it was funny at the same time. I don't remember what I was doing at the time, but I think I was upstairs in our newborn's room...just across from the bathroom. So I decided to take over for my wife because she was going to explode with anger soon.

When I got into the bathroom to tell her to take it easy, She was just about to leave. And that's when I saw what looked like a pair of antlers in the toilet! I began to laugh at the ridiculous sight. Upon closer examination, I noticed that the antlers were actually the base of a broken coffee table. The rest of the coffee table was in the tub. It was a round wooden coffee table. Then I realized that my wife had broken the coffee table by smashing it and threw the base in the toilet out of anger. I went to talk to my wife (I think she was just outside the bathroom) and she told me she needed to talk to me.

She started to tell me about how my praying for her, because of some problem she'd been having, was getting people to come visit her at work. She worked in a retail store of some kind. Then she said how Steve (someone we know in real life) was planning on visiting her at the store tomorrow maybe, but then had to postpone until Wednesday of the following week. I thought that might have been why she was so mad. But then she told me that when he would come by the store, she had planned on closing early and having him come by the house with her. She implied she wanted to get sexual with him, and that was apparently why she was so upset. Then I think I mentioned how breaking the coffee table and trying to flush it was overreacting. But she said all she was trying to flush were a pair of pants. When I went back into the bathroom, I looked in a dirty laundry hamper to find the pants she was talking about. I was convinced I was mistaken, but the thing is, I didn't even look in the tub. And that's when I woke up.

Just when I thought I had no dream recall last night, I started to remember one. I lay perfectly still with eyes closed, and then it came to me. A short dream, but a dream none the less...

      Babysitting -101

I was at a Christmas family gathering at someone's house. Probably a cousin's. It felt like it was a gathering with my dad's side of the family. I had my newborn daughter with me...she was in her car seat. The house was a wide open floor plan and was set up like this: Walk in through the front door and to the immediate left was the living room with a T.V. at the far end (outside wall). To the immediate right of the front door was the kitchen. It was small. And if you walk through the front door, straight ahead was the hall to the bedrooms (which were to the right...I don't remember what was to the left, maybe a master bedroom). The house was small and old. A little run down, but not too bad. This is where the gathering started out.

I don't remember the exact order of events, but at one point, I had my daughter with me in the living room. Some older kids (pre-teen) wanted to see my daughter. I was hesitant with one of the boys. While he seemed genuinely interested in entertaining my daughter and her well being, I was still cautious to let him hold her. In fact, I don't think I did let him hold her.

Then it seemed that the gathering was going to be held somewhere else, so everyone was packing up and getting ready to leave. Now, I had my daughter (still in the car seat) in the kitchen. I don't know where my wife was. Maybe not there at all. Soon, my daughter and I were the only people in this strange house. It was a lonely feeling, but only for a moment. Next thing I knew, my cousin, Freeda, came into the kitchen to help me with my daughter. I let her take the car seat, figuring she would just hold it for a bit. But then she started walking toward the door. My daughter was not ready for the chilling temperatures outside. She needed a blanket to go over the car seat to keep the wind chill from freezing her face. I asked her to wait, but she kept going. Now she was outside, with my daughter unprotected. I was now at the front door and my cousin was clear outside. I was yelling, "Get back here!" She simply smiled and kept walking toward a car, maybe mine, I don't know. I saw my daughter's face, but she didn't look too cold...but I was still concerned. I was also EXTREMELY angry! Once more I yelled as LOUD as I possibly could, to the point of almost losing my voice, "GET YOUR ASS BACK HERE!!!!!!"

Withing a few seconds I was awake.

      Three More

I remember three dreams from last night. Thank goodness I recorded them when I did, otherwise I would have totally forgotten two of them.

      Renovate My School

This dream took place at work, on the second level near the LRC...where the caretaker room is. I guess my mind likened that area of the school to my bathroom, because in the dream I had the contractor there, as well as the sales lady from End Of The Roll, and they were looking things over for my bathroom renovations. There was also a school board facilities co-coordinator there also (Kristin). The hall doors were the bathroom door. The shower was going where the stairs were, and at first I wondered how I would get downstairs if the shower was blocking the stairs. But then I noticed that there were no stairs. And yet at a third glance, I noticed that there were stairs and that the shower was partially blocking them...I could still squeeze by to go down stairs. (Still no lucid dreaming after all the signs...ARRRRGGGG!)

Anyway, the sales lady from End Of The Roll was there, marking the floor where the door would open. Apparently, I had an inside left swing door and wanted to change it to an inside right swing. She was marking the floor with a felt marker. When she was done, she walked down the stairs (that the shower was supposed to be blocking). She was still talking to me on the way down, but I can't remember exactly what she was saying. They were instructions of some kind.

Next, I met with the contractor (the man who is doing the renovations in real life). I was asking him questions about what we could do as far as remodeling. I noticed that there were a small set of stairs going up to the library wall. There may have been four stairs or so. The stairs looked as if they went down into the floor, but they also looked as if they just sat on the floor as if they were portable stairs. I asked if they stairs could be removed, and he said no because the students needed to climb up to look through the library window to talk to the librarian (there really isn't such a thing). I noticed that the stairs should be blocking the library door, but then I saw that the LRC door was moved over a few feet.

After finding out that I could not remove the small set of stairs, I then asked the contractor about a specific type of cover I needed for what I remember being an ethernet junction box. They were wide boxes. I was told that..."This is the type you need to get" as he pointed to a box cover. I looked at it and said, "You mean like this, the one that says Dan 11?" and he said yes. The covers reminded me of a central vac port, but much wider.

I don't remember much else, and then I woke up.

      All Aboard!

This was a tiny, short dream! I was with someone, but don't know who. We had to board what I remember as being the Titanic. The doors were closing, and we just barely made it. We showed our tickets and went inside. Thing is, the door we went inside was like a classroom door from work. Almost as if I remembered the previous dream.

My Spooky Bedroom (an epic dream)

Another renovations dream, but this one had more 'meat and potatoes' to it! It started out in our bedroom. My wife and I had the bedroom set up exactly as we do in real life, and the bedroom looked almost exactly as it does in real life except for one small difference. At the head of our bed (which sits at an outside wall, toward our neighbor's house) there was a recessed shelf built into the wall. It was about four feet up from the floor and the shelf was about a foot (or a bit less) deep and from the bottom of the shelf to the top was about two or three feet. It was angled in on the sides (like our window is) so from the outside of the house, you would be able to see a small half-hexagon shape protruding from the wall. But in the dream, the outside wall was flat, which led me to believe that there was a small space between our inside wall and outside wall, which is the space the recessed shelf occupied.

Inside this shelf space was a sliding door which, for some reason, my wife and I had never noticed before in all the years of living there! This door was about a foot wide by a foot high. It was almost totally square except for the top two corners which were cut at 45 degree angles. The door slid upward, but was held shut with two screws...one of which looked like a small hammer. I could easily turn these screws. When I got both screws out, I slid the door up to find another door exactly the same about 3 - 6 inches in. That door had nothing holding it shut, so all I had to do was slide it up. And I did. What my wife and I saw next was almost haunting!

Even though the neighbor's house is just 20 feet from ours, beyond these two doors was a massive hallow space at least 30 feet deep, maybe even 50 feet! It was dark and there were different levels. The levels were made up of unfinished plywood and other lumber. If was was bold enough, I could have crawled through the small doors and stood on a small platform (or level) and possibly jumped to another level (but I wasn't bold enough). They were scattered around like that. There were also vertical pieces of plywood with shapes cut into them. One piece had two quarter moons cut into it. And this huge hollow space also went down a long way. Further than our basement, possibly. And this space was wider than the house, yet it could not be seen from the outside. It was like another dimension. I am remembering the sound of a distant howling wind (almost like in an elevator shaft). Then my wife and I looked out our window, to see if we could see anything unusual. But nothing! It was evening outside.

Then I saw the neighbor putting up Christmas lights. Except his lights were large. They were the shape of a C7 bulb, but some bulbs were the size of dinner plates! Others were just ordinary 100 watt light bulbs with large globes over them. The lights also had shades on them, like lamp shades. He was stapling these lights to his roof line. I wanted my wife to see these bulbs!

Then the dream either changed or something happened in between that I can't remember, but the next thing I do remember is there were a group of kids at our house for a youth group event. I was still in my bedroom, now with my infant daughter. My wife and other youth were in the room, also. It was still evening outside, and the house was dimly lit. Downstairs in the living room, there was a movie playing. But back in the bedroom, I had to change a dirty diaper. Some of the young girls there wanted to watch me change a diaper because they thought I probably didn't know what I was doing. I said that I did! I had my daughter lying on the bed and went to take off the diaper. It was filled...and I mean FILLED...with sticky, brown, smelly poop! (Her poops are still yellow in real life). Then I took the dirty diaper away, and my wife said, "You should have gotten a clean diaper ready first" to which I replied (to the young girls) "I guess I really don't know what I'm doing!".

Around this same time, some of the other youth were running a Christmas decorating contest, to see which room in the house had the best decorated door. One of the kids who was judging reminded me of the elf, Curtis from The Santa Clause movies (parts 2 and 3).

And one of the last things I remember is helping a young boy make a cool paper decoration. It was made out of an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of paper. There was a square piece cut out of the middle that could be swiveled around while the paper was flat against a door. Except how is that possible! The swiveling piece had to penetrate through the door in order to swivel like it did!

And in all that, I accepted the dream as reality! No lucids.

Ooh, I've had many dreams like this before. I love dreams where you discover something in your house you never knew was there. A secret passage or a back room. It reminds me of the feeling I get when I dig through an old desk drawer and find a forgotten treasure from years ago stuffed in the back corner.

      Little Snippets

Very poor dream recall last night. But I had to get up a number of times to help my girls. The only things I remember dreaming about is changing my infant's very brown, thick, and smelly poopy diaper...again (from last entry) and walking around with what I remember as my mom in my area of town. That's all I can remember...

      Body Asleep, Mind Awake

I tried the body asleep, mind awake method last night, with no avail. But at least I remember a substantial dream.

      Take Care Of The Fish

I dreamed that I was in a room, maybe a classroom. It was a narrow and somewhat long room. What ever room it was, it was the room of a teacher I used to work with. She had fish in her class room in real life. And in the dream, she still had the fish, but the fish tank was much smaller. The fish were very large for goldfish and other small tank fish. And the pump which circulates water had failed, so I was manually trying to pump the water to get it going again. The pump was like a ferris wheel inside the tank, and on the outside was a handle to crank the wheel. In the process of turning the pump, a fish got caught in the wheel and I ended up flinging it up in the tank of water (sending it to the surface of the tank), but it did not fly out of the water. Then other fish got caught in the wheel and the same thing happened to them. The teacher was not in the room at this point, and so I kept doing this. After a short while a huge school of fish came out of nowhere and they all got caught in the wheel. They all got turned in the wheel also. It was almost as if they wanted to get a ride!

Just then, this teacher came into the room. I felt like I shouldn't have been doing what I was doing, but then I realized I had nothing to be ashamed of. After all, I was simply trying to get the pump working again. I think she even mentioned how fish often get caught in that wheel.

The next thing I remember is I was with my mom in that same room putting groceries away. She had bought them and I was helping her put them away. She had got the groceries from Superstore, and they were giving all their customers a Safeway card, to switch over to them. But Superstore knew that none of their customers would actually switch over. And it was true. My mom threw out her card. Then she said how she wished she could shop at Safeway again. I told her she should take advantage of that card. But she said the prices were too high for her too afford, thus proving that Superstore customers would not switch over. The cards were merely used as a tool by Superstore to gain respect. But I wasn't fooled! Then I woke up, so I guess because I didn't have a LD, I actually was fooled!

      Rat Race

If you've seen the movie, then you already have an idea what my dream was about! It started out in a Forest or something like that, and moved across a national park, and eventually into a mall in the city. It involved getting to the destination before anyone else. Except we were paired up. I was paired with a girl I used to go to school with years and years ago. She was an Asian girl. I don't know how to spell her name, but it sounds like 'Sow Man'. (I was in elementary school with her.)

We were a pretty good team. Although at first I think we were in last place and people were maybe laughing at us. But we were determined. There may have been more than one rest stop where the entire group took a break for a while, but I know for sure there was one where the entire group fell asleep. And since we were in last place, we were across the road...it was a dirt road. As everyone started to fall asleep, we started talking and she tolm me how her name was pronounced in her native language. She even told me what it meant. (But I can't remember these things!) Then we started kissing. I got a nice boob feel in there, too! Not just a quick graze, but a nice long massage! She had relatively small breasts, but still very nice!

Then we stopped kissing and looked across the road to see everyone sleeping. I had the idea that we would take advantage of the opportunity and sneak past everyone and get in first place. I tried as hard as I could to be quiet, but I think the dirt road under my shoes woke some people up...and then soon everyone was awake! I ran like mad, leaving my partner behind, but I figured she was close behind.

The next thing I remember, I was in the destination spot, the mall. I don't know which mall. Now I was with a new partner, a man. I think he was overweight, like me, but in my dream, I was not. We had a 2-wheeler (you know, the kind used to wheel boxes). We were clear ahead of everyone else, and did not have to move fast. When we reached a small hall, there were two men sitting at the end, but they looked peculiar. I was leery of them. And then they asked whether we were a part of this race. My partner said yes, and they said we just needed to take one of the Christmas trees which were next to them. Only the Christmas trees looked more like large boxes, but one was a safe. I wasn't sure about doing this, but then all of a sudden, everyone else started rushing down the hallway. So then my partner and I started to scramble to get the safe, only now it was a thin piece of paper and we were trying to load in on the 2-wheeler we had with us, but even that took a slightly different shape! We almost had the paper on the 2-wheeler and it fell off, as other teams scrambled for it. Then I woke up.
