that's a good point i haven't seen made anywhere yet (although i haven't read every thread on this board, and someone's bound to have said something along those lines)- it's true that your mind tends to embellish things over time. after all, dreaming is your imagination at work and it's only natural that it would continue to come into play as you thought about your experience. not to mention that memory really is fickle.

I guess thats why I should write in the DJ when I wake up, rather than 12 hours later...

WILD!!!!

And only my second lucid dream! (I think?)

I know this is long... but its more for me than whoever else can be bothered reading

Roughly 5 hours ago (after four hours of sleep) I tried W.I.L.D (properly) for the first time.... I think it worked!

My dream recall isnt that great but i can sort of remember it anyway. Here is what happened:

-Went to bed at 1 am with the intention of doing a wild
-Set my alarm for 5am
-Got out of bed at 5:20am
-Had a drink of pepsi (heard caffeine works?)
-Came here and went to Lucid Crossroads to read on W.I.L.D Techniques.
-At around 5:45am went back to bed (couldnt be bothered waiting for the caffeine to take effect)

After a few minutes i saw (quite vividly) what looked like a ghost dog walking in sand (only saw the prints) walking accross my vision, and I knew SOMETHING was happening!

Then I had a rush... it was like i had woken up, but i knew i hadnt because i saw what looked like the matrix glyphs falling in front of me...

I cant remember how i entered the dream, I just know it wasnt easy. I think I lost a bit of awareness in this phase

my awareness wasn't great. It was like i had missed a few days sleep in real life or something.

All i could remember from the real life is wanting to fly in my next LD. So I tried it... indoors. Smart. I hit my hand on the roof and it hurt! it was like i had sat on it or something to make it go numb and whacked the back of it against something hard.

Thats pretty much all I remember... I should have written something down, its just as fuzzy as all my other dreams.

Just fragments though... wont write about it here.

Strange dream(s) this morning.

Was at a broken down camp or something I think. Maybe a village? Anyway I was just doing strange things like trying to outrun a train (fell into a river) and such things.

Dont know whether this was before or after but I kept on driving the wrong way down a one way road (didn't know it was one way for a while, but the oncoming traffic and one lane sort of hinted at it)

Cant remember much else.

A few strange things happened this morning (12 hours ago).

Slept in, but the sleep was very disturbed after early morning, so it was sort of like WBTB. I had at least one false awakening (probably two or more though), one lucid dream I think, and a lot of broken normal dreams in between interruptions

I didn't even realise the false awakenings were false awakenings until I was out of bed, which is why I don't know how many I had.

After waking and dreaming and waking a few times, I realised what was going on, and caught myself in the transition between wake and sleep. I was experiencing heavy hypnogogic imagery (if that is the term) and treated it as a lucid dream, if you know what i mean. Took control before I was asleep, so to speak.

Nothing lasted long enough to really be any good because of the interuptions, but never mind.

Majority of dreams were in the desert or in the house. I am becoming increasingly certain that the house is a dreamsign.

hmmm I seem to have hit a dry spell.

Nightmare...

Very strange. I can't recall the last time I had a nightmare. It wasn't awful, but it was bad enough to wake me up at 3am. So now that I'm up I might as well try WILD if it doesn't come back.

I think I was starting to become lucid as I was waking up near the end of it. Heh, I remember trying to take control but not managing so it kept going until I got up.

Not a happy experience, but a rare one. Thankfully.

-banana bombs made out of the inside bit thingy of pineapples that we lit on the beach under heaps of clothes and it burned my feet

Yesterday I got a ticket for driving at night without headlights on (honest mistake).

Anyway, last night I dreamed that I got hit by a toyota celica (flip headlights) when I turned out of an alley, in the dark. He didnt have his lights on. Cops were there fast. I surveyed the damage to the celica, which should have been front on as it hit me, and it had mysteriously turned into a toyota camry, with massive side damage.

When looking at my car, I saw that the only damage was that the door handles had been "puckered" inwards in the steel. Still, the cops said I couldnt drive it anymore and had to get a new car.

So I thaught "ok... better get something like a 323 or something" and didnt even feel sorry for my condemned car

Then there was some kind of weird carpool thing... I dono...

Everything else is a bit hazy.

Things that were wrong:
-My sister was in the car too
-My car had two dented door handles on the same side (its a coupe)
-My car was condemned without any reason
-I wanted to buy a 323
-It was the same place I have had other dreams (I dont think i have ever been there in RL)

cant remember much due to going through half the day before writing in my journal...

-round/ square electric energy ball things bein processed(?) and I photographed them
-turned into a library shelf
-music cd's behind the books!

Another zombie dream. Not scary, just a zombie dream. I think it started off with the whole "im going to walk as slow as I can and eventually eat you" style zombie, but then those who were "infected" were just hungry or something. Smart, and trying to eat us for no good reason. At one point we were in a room up quite high, an attic or something, and my friend had to go out for something. I looked out the window and saw a gravel driveway next to a clif with a lot of forrestry below. The room was poorly lit, had strange walls and doors and coushins I think. Suddenly my friend burst back in. Oh no, he was infected. I cant remember much after that.

Some other time in this dream we were on an imaginary highway. It was wide, flat, surrounded by green, and the zombies were out there somewhere.

My zombie dream seems to be reccurring, and i suppose next time I am chased by or threatened by bloodthirsty zombies I should do a reality check.

Another dream?:

I was at a diary, and I baught something. The owner gave me 4 pies, 3 of which were in weird treys. I looked around and there was nowhere to sit to eat them, but i saw a metal bus-stop bench outside, so I went there. Somebody who I cant remember came along (random DC or someone I know?), and we talked a little. In the end I had to go buy him/her what i baught. As I was going outside, I got a really bad feeling, and ran behind a tree. The DC shot the tree, aiming for me. They said "why do you want me to shoot the tree?" or something like that, in a deep and meaningful way. This sequence lasted a while, but I think i eventually got the gun, or it might have been another dream.

I had to shoot the cat. I dont know why and I really didnt want to, but I had to. I aimed for the head at point blank and shot 3 or 4 times, but somehow I kept getting it in the body and it was alive. I realised what I had done, and a random DC said, "put pressure on the bleeding, the vet will be back soon." So I did as I was told, and saw that the vets ship was coming (yes on a boat now).

-chasing criminal
-never catching him
-too fast around some of them corners

-making something dangerous... nuclear or something... and all the bugs from it were eating my face and building the thing with it
-then some people tried to kill me
