Dream signs and how to test if I'm dreaming if...

I've been lucid dreaming on and off for the past 5+ years or so, and sadly I still consider myself to be a novice. This time though, I've decided to commit. From what I've noticed, my main dream signs are family and friends. I can recall at least one dream every night where my friends/family are in it in some way or another. However, I rarely see anyone but my mother. How should I go about practicing my reality checks if I never see these people on a daily basis? Should I just try practicing WILD?

You can try using mantra when falling asleep like "I do reality check when i see X", where X is dream sign, as for practicing during waking life, if you feel like you need more situations to when reality check, i'd suggest to add something common, like reality check when going through doorway. Also if you see your mother both in waking life and dream often, that would be still good to do reality check. Both DILD and WILD have their pros and cons varying from person to person, so it's worth to try them both and figure out which works better for you, i personally prefer to use both methods together though, if you want to try WILD, i strongly suggest you to check out those tutorials: http://www.dreamviews.com/induction-...cid-dream.html WILD

Never thought about using mantras for my dream signs. I'll also start doing RC's when walking through doors, as I do walk through them often in dreams now that I recall. Experimentation to see what works best seems to be the way to go. Thanks!
