Using previous night's dreams to go to sleep

I am very curious to find out if other people use this method. I often intentionally recall the previous night's dreams and "crawl" into them and restart the dream in order to fall asleep.

Sometimes this method results in seeing bits and pieces of dreams from years past, as they are all linked together in my memory.

Would you mind please elaborating on this method?

From what I understand, you mean thinking of past dreams as you go to sleep, then in term re-entering them X amout of days/weeks/months/years after. Am I right?

You know, that's a really good idea. I've never thought of that. It makes sense because there are always dreams that people have and they don't want them to end, but then they wake up. I guess the only thing is that you would actually have to remember details about the dream in order to re-enter and continue it. I'm going to try this.

I'll try this, if I restart an old dream I should be able to recognise it and become lucid.

      Welcome by the way

This sounds similar to VILD, where you think of a dream with a reality check in it so that you go into that dream and become lucid.

Never tried this before.I would have thought it would be hard to re-create a dream and go in to it. I'll give it a shot
