I'm having trouble with recall again, help!

I posted a thread before, about having bad recall. I even started a dream journal, but lately i've been failing again. Once again, i have absolutely no recall whatsoever. I usually wake up suddenly more often than i used to, and often i have no idea where i am for a few seconds. I am assuming this comes from waking up from a dream, but like i said, i can't remember it. Maybe i don't want to for some reason? Also, i have been taking tylenol sinus and motrin sinus to help me get to sleep lately, as i have been having problems with my sinus. Could that be a factor in the problem?

I read ataraxis's guide, and it has some good ideas, but none of them seem to help me. I am going to try to go to sleep with more of an idea in mind, but when i try to keep it in my head i find it increasingly harder to sleep. This is causing me some anguish, because i want to know what goes on in my dreams very bad. I remember a few, some stand out, and sometimes things trigger dreams like memories of an event, seeing a person, or looking at something/seeing things happen. But in general, i can never remember.

Also, ataraxis's guide mentioned hypnosis, does this work well?

edit: oh, and one more thing, sometimes i wake up with the feeling that something VERY important happend, and it bugs me for the better part of the day trying to remember it.

Stop taking antihistamines for sleep. They definately don't help with REM sleep or Recall. You should look into Melatonin for a sleep aid. Probably just sleeping naturally would be the best plan though.
