Thread: spontaneous dream recall

Sometimes things in your environment spark certian memories that may have been previously forgotten. For example, if you had a dream about a tree and forget the dream, if you saw a tree similar to that in real life you might remember your dream...

Yes, I experience this all the time. For the most part, I'll remember dreams from the previous night when I go to bed and am in the same position that I was when I had the dream. But sometimes other things will happen during the day that will make me remember flashes of dreams.

Yeah I have that to sometimes. No idea where it comes from. I recalled one verry cool dream with nice colors n shit.

However I recalled that dreams a few years ago, now I just re-recalled it.

How the brain works, is a mystery

For the past several days I've experienced this kind of spontaneous recall. Not just a single dream or dreams from the past night, but dozens of dreams from weeks/months ago. Some random image would pop up in my mind and I would realize that I'm recalling a dream. Thinking about that image I would recall 3-4 other long forgotten dreams.

This happens when I perform some light activity with nothing serious to think about...

This happens to me when I have a dream recall, and I beleived it was the whole dream so I just let it go. Then I will be relaxing and staring off into nothingness and slide-slide- slide-slide, these images will start slidding through my mind. Things from that last dream become clearer, and I remember a whole lot more. This is a good thing )

I just remembered a dream I had 6 years ago the following day.

Yeah, seams like it happens to everyone.
