I find that I can recall the most if I take a shower right after I get up. I have tried to use my computer to help recall, but it dosen't work for me. |
|
Does anyone try dream recall my typing? |
|
I never do it in my computer... |
|
If I hadn't made me
I'd be more inclined to bow
Powers that be would have swallowed me up
But that's more than I can allow...
Computer all the way for me!! I probably write like 20 or less wpm writing with a pen or pencil at my fastest (and that's considering it would be very messy). On the computer I can type up to 120 wpm with no mistakes... i'm 13 hell yeah. |
|
I'm a computer journaler, too. I'm about 100 wpm, 110 if i'm not worrying about capitalization. Writing is MUCH too slow for me, i'd never be able to get everything i wanted out, and it'd be harder for me to add something else later if i remember it with handwriting |
|
I use a journal because I don't have easy access to the computer. I would like to try it though. |

I have to use a computer My writing is the So messy I can't even understand it. |

There's actually a good program I checked out a while ago that file's your recorded dreams. |

Writing in a journal is much better than writing on the computer. You probably feel the journal is better because you get more comphrehension writing (slower; less brain power used) then typing (faster; more brain power used recalling positions of keys, rather than writing letters from memory). Besides the computer can get very distracting, an you probably have to sit upright on a chair instead of relaxed on a couch or something. |

I have an MP3 player with a recording option that I keep next to my bed when I sleep so if I wake up, I just turn it on and record my dream. It works very well but the problem is that I don't wake up often enough in the night =( |
|
yeah ive just started to try to get serious about lucid dreaming ive been keeping a dream journal of dreams i recall from when i wake up in the morning for about a year |
|
It's working (I do so) but i set the alarmclock on 03.00, I go to bed 20.00 and sleep 21.00 then i woke up on the REM time (After 6h). |
|
HELLO...
I have just started. |
|
~~~~~~ Excuse my limited english ~~~~~~
I just stumbled onto this site 5 days ago (introduced myself in the Newbie Area) and I have been using my computer to record my dreams and so far it's working great. For the first 4 days I recalled 2 dreams, the 5th night I recalled 3 dreams. Last night was great, I recalled 4 dreams, one of them was even a false awakening (first one I remember having since I was a kid) and I actually woke up and tried to type my dream on my computer but I couldn't remember it (until I woke up for real). Also the last dream I had involved lucid dreaming but I didn't actually realize I was dreams, it was just mentioned. |
|
i normally type up little notes right when i wake up (my bed is surrounded by computers and old laptops, etc.., the true markings of a linux geek ) then when i take a shower i remember more details and then finish up my journal :-D. |
I love the computer. Couldn't live without it. So much easier to get emotions and ideas out of the mind before they're lost in eternity. Much more gratifying than trying to collect thoughts and put them on paper in a painstaking fashion! |
Yeah, but, may I remind you of carpal tunnel sydrome? I won't be completely computerized in my thoughts until they have those "mind controlled" keyboards and mice. And yes, they are plausible. |
Dont those people that are 100% paralised use that? They can move a cursor on screen by thinking of moving their hand in that way, and the device detects some activity in the brain corresponding to that movement and that way they move the mouse. |
|
I heard about something like that, only it was controlled by eye movement |
There's also that new LED keyboard too, and maybe you're talking about this glove thing. I dunno. Saw a bunch of this stuff on the OLD TechTV, which has been (to put it bluntly) RAPED. |
i have an odd dream recall.. it USUALLY works right when i get up.. but however i may be sitting in the middle of the day, doing nothing and it'll just hit me. Thats the way its been. I tend to catalog the dreams in my mind and therefore have many still there, perfect. |
