      Hey Crazy Monkey.

I have recently been trying to get back to having good dream recall after having not though about dreaming for most of the spring and early summer. Fortunately I have faced this situation before. I'm sure you've already heard this, but the best thing you can do for you dream recall is keep a dream journal. As soon as you wake up write down anything you can remember from your dreams, even if it is just an image or a feeling, do your best to describe it. Also, before going to sleep you can repeat something like, "I will wake up after each dreaming period and remember my dream", or anything like that. It is very important to be confident and optimistic that you will remember. If that doesn't work for you you could set an alarm to go off sometime about 5 hours after you go to sleep. That always gives me a better chance to recall dreams. I don't know if you wake up with an alarm, but for me the most important thing is to not push the snooze and go back to sleep, but to try immediately to remeber my dreams.

      Good luck with all that.

Yeah, I've always worried about my mom or someone finding my dream journal and reading it, but I never have time in the morning to write anything online, so it's a risk I have to take.

I use my PDA to write down my dreams (it lets me password it and stuff so everything is private). I got a pretty basic one and it works quite well (I leave it next to my bed ready for when I wake up in the night). It probably depends on your preferences but my PDA has worked pretty well for me and didn't cost too much either (and has many other uses as well).

My mom found my DJ so I just told her what LDing was and she even thought it was fun and she considered [for a second or 2] to keep a DJ herself.. But she was too busy with work and all that.

So yeah, my mom rocks. XD
