I would post this in DJ forum, but all the people there most likly have one (I'm mean it is the DJ forum after all). I've seen a few topics on people not seeing the effectiveness of their DJ and I was just wondering if anyone here gave up on their's. I am considering it b/c it's so tedious and I hasn't helped me very much, but I'm going to continue until it really doesn't give me anything.

1 month exactly, which is why I'm asking this question

No hun, I wouldn't give your dream journal up just yet! I mean, you've only been posting in it for about a month, and to aquire good dream recall takes a bit longer than that
When I first started my DJ, I almost gave up on it, but persevere with it and things will start to improve. I found that it also helps to read back on all your dreams, as well as just writing them down, as it makes your memory think back to the time you recalled those dreams.
It also helps to keep a pen and paper handy by the side of your bed, as it helps to jot down some notes, as soon as you wake up, or just after-then write it up!

Dream recall just takes practice, give it another couple of months and you should start to see a bit of improvement, if not a great deal. Good luck hun.

Yeah, I've been keeping a dream journal for about 2-3 months, and now I'm just starting to see results. They're awesome results however. I'm remembering like at least three dreams per night, and recalling them in length. I wrote about three pages worth of information in my dream journal this morning.

Thanks for the info, by the way, I average 2 dreams a night, which is 2 dreams more than before I started. Thanks again.

I certainly find keeping a DJ helps. Whenever I lapse in keeping my DJ, my recall goes down significantly. And, it's usually by writing down scraps of dreams that I do recall during "dry spells" that heps recover my DR. That, and B6.

I stopped using my DJ here. I prefer a Blocknote + Pen right next to my bed. However lately there's been too much stress to even be concerned about my DreamJournal, Dreaming and Lucid Dreaming. I'll first have to get Rid of the Stress factors in my Life before I shall return my attention to Lucid Dreaming and Dream Journalling. My Dream Recall is terrible.

No I first need peace of Mind before I will continue Lucid Dreaming and such. I'm now using my Lucid and Meditative abilities to try and take care of the Stress in me first. Some things simply are more important.

Dream journals are different for everyone, you should just be patient. As SKA says he prefers paper and pen over the forum. So you could try experimenting and see if you get better results.

      Hope this helps.
