      in-dream recall?

So i was taking a nap and had an amazing lucid dream and when i woke up, i recalled lots of stuff from it but not as much as i wanted. Do you think that if i stop in a dream and go over everything ive done in the dream to help me remember, would it work or would i just wake up from thinking?

I've thought about this before but the reason i decided against it is because it just seems like such a waste of precious lucid time. Also maybe when you wake up you wont remember that you were going over what you did in your dream making it completely useless. No harm in trying i suppose, tell us how it goes if you try!

      I agree.

However, I have had a lucid where I used autosuggestion - I will perfectly remember this dream - and I woke up with full recall.

You can do as much in the lucid dream world as you could do in waking life, theoretically. So yes. You can go over parts of happened (lucid) dream events in your memory to reinforce them so that you won't forget. I've had dreams where I would write down the previous dream on the wall, not realizing it was a dream. That dream had helped me to remember the previous dream.

I do not really believe in wasting lucid dream time anymore, unless you're really doing nothing. If you go over a previous (lucid) dream inside a lucid dream, you might get more of an idea what is possible in the lucid dream world, knowing that your brain is fully operating. I didn't even think about actually scripting my lucid dreams until I read about it.

If you really love lucid dreaming that much, you will find time and motivation in waking life to induce more lucid dreams. If you don't love lucid dreaming that much, but want to love lucid dreaming that much, then it's possible to (re)create the love. This is what I'm trying to do these days and it's working out well for me so far.
