      I haven't remembered a dream in a month.

I am so frustrated. I haven't been able to recal any of my dreams for nearly a month. I had been keeping a dream journal and writing in it everyday, but one day I woke up without remembering my dream. I shrugged it off because it was one time, but then it has kept happening over and over again for weeks. I am not stressed out or overwhelmed with a busy life, so I am not quite sure why this is happening...PLEASE ADVISE ME!!

I know we all go through our dry spells. A month does seem like a long though.
Have you had a change in you sleeping pattern, where you sleep, or even your diet?
Any of these things could effect your dream recall.

I've had the same thing happen to me. Just hang in there and stay focused on it. I'm coming off a dry spell my self. When you wake up write down anything, even if it is just a tiny piece. Maybe you should try writing thoughts you have as soon as you awaken. Often enough if you hit a piece of the dream, more will be remembered. And if you think about it alot, random thins during the day will remind you of what heppened.

I know it's not much, but I hope it helps.

My technique for dream recall is exactly that: to fill my mind with random thoughts until some part reminds me of my dream. Then I can usually pull the rest of the dream out from there.

I really can't remember anything without it, but with it, I occasionally find myself remembering 5 or 6 dreams in one night. I just have to remember to do it, and to reality check, when I wake up.

Another thing that may help is setting your alarm to go off during a REM period. These happen about every 90 minutes, so set your alarm to go off some multiple of 90 minutes after you go to sleep. Longer is generally better, so try 6 or 7.5 hours. Some things I have read say that you only remember dreams if you wake up during the REM period, but that we often don't remember waking up. Perhaps if you wake up and remember it, you'll have a better chance of remembering your dreams.
Well life is short, so love the one ya' got, 'cause you might get run over or you might get shot.

I used to remember multiple detailed dreams every night
but for the last couple months my recall has slowly been getting worse.
I really want to remember my dreams like I used to, when I would look
forward to going to sleep to see what dreams I would have.
I want some way to make my dreams as vivid as they used to be.

Yeah crap like that has happened to me for month-long intervals too. If you look in my dream journal (which is now already 13 pages long) you can see a lot of time differences. Dream #10 happened on November 26, and dream #11 happened on December 25.

I don't think it was because I wasn't remembering my dreams. I was just simply a lazy bastard and forgot to write them down, or was not in the mood to turn on my light and start writing. DO NOT GET IN THAT HABIT. It sticks with you.

For me to improve dream recall, it helps to have an active mind before sleeping. Think about the day, what your weekend plans are, or heck, think about GIANT JELLYBEANS if it tinterests you! Believe me- you don't want your mind to be asleep before your body if you want good dream recall. Small tip, but it works wonders

And don't be a nervous wreck about it. Repeatedly telling yourself "I'm not remembering anything!!!! I'm not!" is not helpful. Self-suggestion does work both ways, you know. Try the lazy-man's method to lucid dreaming ©, which is my work in progress, and just go to bed and chill out. Fall asleep without a care in the world. Don't worry about techniques or such, and just say "just another lucid dream tonight I suppose..." and other things. It's all about confidence and staying on track.

On the rare nights that I can't remember my dreams, ill just relaz in the morning and take it slow. Sometimes right in the middle of brushing my teeth in the morning, ill get a flash of my dream. It alwaysed reminded me of when people have premonitions in movies. I see a flash and the memory of the peices of my drema come to me. The Randomly in another part of the day, ill just hear something fmaialr, and another dream pecie will come back. The When I lay down to go to sleep, the drema usaly all unravels and i expeirnce the memorey for a minute or two. Try to rememebr your dremas form the last night when you go to bed in the evening...
