      Thumbs up Creating a Dreamsign

I did the coolst thing ever!!!I created a dream sign I drank some cranberry juice since it helps with dream recall, dream vividness and dream quality(for me)and i repeated in my my"I want my dream sign to be water,in alll form but in a glass" about 15 times i went to sleeep and remembered no dreams involving water but when i went to take a nap i had a dream where my PSP fell into a pool....the bad things is i recognised the dream sign when i awoke...too bad lol

i have been reinforcing the dream sign of water in my own way.

but "I want my dream sign to be water, in all forms but in a glass" isn't going to be too effective - your mind isn't familiar with the term 'dream sign' and you might try a different way of relating to the form. '-but in a glass' is a negative and isn't going to work as well as a positive reinforcement.

That sounds a lot like a MILD. Using a mantra before you go to sleep, and then having it appear in your dream in some form. Good work!

I did much the same as you, only this DS was already one that recurred often in my dreams, only I never thought of it as a DS before. I spent a month telling myself the next time I saw it, I'd become lucid. It worked

"I want my dream sign to be water, in all forms but in a glass"

the last part is a negative because you're saying 'in forms.. but not this one.' and that's not very effective because you're indirectly reinforcing something you don't want (by repeating it). so like i said, you should use a phrase associating water with realizing you're dreaming rather than 'dream sign,' and maybe 'in such and such form' instead of what you have there.

overall your idea is sound, it's just that your phrasing should accurately reflect the right intention.

also, you might want to think about how you're choosing not to use a form of water (a glass). it would be better to specify the forms of your choice, or just plain water. if you don't emphasize water in a glass you could still recognize it as a dream sign if it does come up.

I would take your strongest dream sign and try to use it in a mantra. I wouldn't try too much on making up your own, unless it was a special sign that instantly caused you to become lucid - this would be more a message than a dream sign in my opinion.

If you still want to use water - make it a mantra.
