      Jster's Meditation Workbook

Meditation to me means the ability to concentrate more deeply on what you want and to have a higher state of awareness, both of which Is something I feel I would benefit greatly from. I hope to be able to improve my ability to focus and concentrate over long periods of time, as I find after exerting myself at something which requires high amount of focus (Such as Tennis) I will always start of really good, then gradually get worse as I lose my concentration.

Jster, thanks for posting your workbook thread.

Meditation will indeed improve your concentration, and also your awareness which may help with lucid dreaming techniques such as DILD. Provided you have the motivation to keep going, your focus and concentration will improve over time.

Well I gave the Void meditation a go, after reading how relaxing it was I decided I could use it just before bed, I sat crossed legs (on top of my bed) with my hands on knees. After focusing on my breathing for around 5minutes I tried to clear my mind of thoughts, whenever a thought did enter I observered it then ignored it. This went for for around 10min where I was starting to get real tired, so I layed down continued the void meditation for another 5min, finished and decided to go to sleep.

That's good, void meditation can be used just before sleep to relax your mind so you can get to sleep more easily. Keep practicing and your meditation will improve.
