Reblik's Intro to Lucid Dreaming Workbook

This is my first serious attempt at learning to have lucid dreams. I've had a few spontaneous ones, but I can never really do anything in them. Anyways, wish me luck.

      Lesson 1: Intro

      Homework:

Last night I had a dream in which I was in a cabin with a lot of my friends from school. There were also some teachers who were helping students with their homework.

My brother suddenly asks me if he can go watch a movie with his science class. I tell him it's okay and he runs off.

I then see a girl ask one of the teachers for help. I turn to my friend and make a mean joke about the girl. My friend laughs and tells me to shut up.

The dream shifts and I'm sitting at a table in the cabin with two other guys. I notice that it's really dark, and I tell one of the other guys to turn on the lights. The lights are really dim, but I shrug it off.

I find my final exam from my English class sitting on the table. I pick it up and start going through it. My teacher tells me that I need to have legible handwriting, and that my essay was better than everyone else's because they talked about the character's childhood fears. My score was: 6 6 6 1. I look away from the paper, and when I look back I can't find the words anymore.

Suddenly I'm walking out of the cabin with two friends. One of them is very distinct and the other is a mix of two people and very blurry. We walk through the hallway and the blurry friend yells my crush's name. I yell it to, but she then tells me that they're gone.

We then find my brother in his science class, and that is where the dream ends.

      Lesson 2: DILD

      Homework:

      Reality Checks:
      1. Pushing your finger into the palm of your hand. In a dream your finger can go straight through your hand.
      2. Recalling how you got to where you are. Retrace your steps and figure out how you wound up where you are right now.

      Triggers:
      1. Every time I get a text from Twitter.
      2. Whenever a song by a certain artist comes up on my iPod.

      I think I had a semi-lucid dream.

The dream begins with my cousin and I in one of the horse stalls of our barn. My brother comes is walking one of the horses into our arena. and I realize that something is really weird. The dream felt very vivid, but realizing that something was really weird made me question reality.

I think that I almost woke up, because all of a sudden I can't see anything distinctly. I tell myself that I'm dreaming, and I pull myself back into the dream. This time I'm about to take out one of the horses from their stall, when I see a group of kids watching me. I want to get a closer look, and I again remember that I'm dreaming. Remembering a thread on this site that was about people turning into animals in their dreams, I transform into a bird.

I fly around the barn, and I then accidentally use some passive control by believing that there is a window somewhere. I circle around the barn, still believing that there is a window, and two huge openings show up. I fly through the openings and end up at my middle school. I see a dream character freaking out because they can't find me, so I land in front of them and startle them.

      That's where the dream ends.

I think I was only lucid, and even then not strongly, during the middle of the dream. I used the MILD technique before bed, so I think that helped a lot. Now I just need to remind myself to remember everything else I learned about lucid dreaming.
