Does one have to already be a lucid dreamer for this course? I'm on the road to becoming and LDer and making a lot of progress quickly. Meditation sounds very interesting, though if one does need to be an LDer before starting the course I might have to run through the non-chat syllabus afterwards.

      No Falsename,

Much of what happens in dreams is due to your mental state of mind. Meditation will help you to focus your concentration, will, and awareness. As this happens you may find your dream recall, lucidity, and control improve. Hopefully this should help you to achieve lucidity, plus, unlike other courses most of the technique I am going to be teaching will be practiced in waking life. I leave it up to you to choose whatever dream method works best to induce the LDM state.

Just stay posted, check out the class.

      Thanks,

      -J

It looks like I won't actually be able to do your class. D: Sorry, it turns out I have just too much other stuff to do.

      GMT -6.

I've got some other stuff going on as well, but I'll do my best to keep up with the course. Wednesdays and weekends are best for me, as well as late weekday evenings.

I pick up a half-eaten copy of a book by Neil Gaiman, and decide this is all his fault.

      Ok everyone,

The LDM class is officially open!!! I would like to schedule our first live chat for this coming Saturday 12 noon GMT -10. I hope this time works for everyone. Since Im assuming the weekends are when most people are free it would be good to have the first class this weekend.

When class begins everyone can start their online DVA journals and access the LDM material in the "courses" section.

Id also like it, if possible, everyone could try to check in by this Friday. That way I will know who needs a PM reminder.

      Thanks!!

Yay! I'll be there. What time would it be for me if I live in Canada - Saskatchewan ?

I just can't figure it out.

I believe I can be there! GMT -8 for me, so I think that translates to 10am my time.

I'm in GMT -7, which means that would be 3 p.m. locally so I think I can make it (versus 12 noon for GST -10). I found this website useful for figuring out the time, since I tend to get time zones mixed up:

      Thanks oceanblue,

If everyone could figure out what time 12 noon GMT -10 translates to where you are located, that would be a step in the right direction.

I think that it will actually be 2pm your time....I am assuming you are on the west coast of the mainland yes?

Yes, I goofed. I'm not used to doing time conversions relative to places west of me. So 2pm it is! (And that should still work fine for me.)

Cant we just say that the chat will be 10 p.m. GMT,so everyone can use a site like http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/ to figure out when that will be instead of calculating back and forth like crazy. Should make things a bit easier.

umm that might be a bit tricky for me. I'm GMT + 1 so I think that would be 11 pm for me which isn't too late, but I think I will be out that night.
Anyway if I'm back home in time I'll definitely join in.
