Its about the last days of Hitler, in his Berlin Bunker during WW2.....

      sounds really good.

I would like to see this movie, it came out 1st April in the UK, but i live in an area that doesnt play 'art house' films much, only your silly blockbuster films like '"XXX2".

yeah, it is one of the best war films I have seen. It is hard to categorically place it, but I would put it in the top 3 of all war films I have seen.

It's in German (which it should be), so you have to read sub-titles.

It is in theaters, but I dunno if any mainstream cinemas are playing it. I saw it at the local independent non-profit theater.

There is a trailer online: http://www.apple.com/trailers/newmarket/downfall.html

The thing that caught me most about the film was that in most WW2 war films, the Nazis are often portrayed as monsters, being inhuman, and some kind of evil force. This film does not do this, and is a powerful reminder that the Nazis were human. That Hitler was human. That any person can become capable of heinous acts when blinded by something (emotion, fear, hate, etc)

If you can't get to a theater to see it, or it is not playing in one near you, I highly recommend renting it when it comes out on DVD.

      another

There is another Nazi movie I've seen that, to me anyway, shows their more human side.. I'm pretty sure it's called Nuremburg. The movie about the Nazi Trials.. and their hangings..
