I've seen it. From what I remember...it was awesome. But I haven't seen it in a really long time. I want to watch it again.

yeah I've seen it before... as I recall, it seem each year there are times when it is played like every other day for a week (on Sci-Fi, USA, etc)

Actually this movie was on TV a couple weeks ago. I've seen it a bunch of times. It's cool as freakin hell. And I love Brad Pitt's character.

Terry Gilliam is a really cool director.

12 Monkeys is a fascinating movie for its sublime complexity. I didn’t know what to make of it first time I saw it. But watching it again (using a steady structure of thought process) I really enjoyed it.

Do you sometimes think that when you watch an intelligent movie, your response depends on your approach?

Its always interesting to watch a movie once for the entertainment factor. But I think if you desire to truly understand the movie, you have to revisit it again, with the idea of looking at its suggestion.

      What do you guys think?

(don’t put this into philosophy please – lol)

12 monkeys....hell of a movie! at first i didn't wanted to see it cuz i couldn't think that a brad pitt-bruce willis movie could be good, maybe a really blockbuster hit but nothing else.....
I was damn wrong!!! The movie is a really weird one, when i first saw it i was like 14-15 years old, and i didn't understand it at all. Was Bruce Willis crazy or he was actually a Post-Apocalyptic-Time-Traveler-and-Science-Proyect-of-a-bunch-of-Scientist? It's a doubt that i still have, but that's what makes the movie so cool! not knowing what is real and what is dream.
PS: watch the dvd's special features, they're really cool!
I was looking for answers...and I didn't know the questions....

I agree completely. The first time I watch any movie that requires some thought (12 Monkeys, Fight Club, Waking Life, Mulholland Drive, Vanilla Sky, etc.) I usually find myself trying to take in everything at once, visuals are particularily distracting, and am left in confusion. But when I sit down and watch it again I can focus on the more subtle aspects of the plot and dialogue and I enjoy it that much more.

My friend and I met this one dude at a local Best Buy and we got talking on celebrities, and mentioned Bruce Willis. He said he worked with him on this movie, 12 Monkeys, and even had a small part in the movie. I dunno if he was lying or whatever, he said he was filmed in some airport. Kinda fat, kinda balding white male, looks in his 40's or so. Can anyone verify? lol. He doesn't like Bruce, btw, haha.

Yeah, that was a great movie MJ, I loved it.

Especially Brad Pitt's character. And that's coming from someone who's not a huge fan of Mr. Pitt.

I had to watch it a few times though to really understand what the heck was going on.

12 monkeys is one of my favioute films, terry gillian is a brilliant director with a great imagination. His film brazil is also worth checking out, its about a man stuck in a dysotopian owellien world and how he escapes this world through his dreams and then the film goes really crazy, but it is really a film to check out because dreaming is one of the central themes of the movie.
