      F.lux

      If you use the computer a lot, then I recommend putting this software on it - F.LUX

      It automatically adjusts your computer's brightness according to the time of day. It has really helped my eyes so I just wanted to share it.

      I used to use that. I forget why I stopped using it. I think I never reinstalled it after my motherboard change. Anyways, my beef with it is that it doesn't actually adjust the brightness, it adjusts the color temperature. This is fine, but I wish it adjusted the brightness AND the color temp a little less. I don't like mah colors being messed up either. That being said, I'm installing it right now.
