I play, I used to reliably get a B on MAX300 or MAXX unlimited (all 1.0x upwards scrolling, I play on my Ignition 2 mat with Stepmania) but I stopped because I felt I had reached my limits (I could pretty much A any 9 foot...)

I had about 700 songs (anybody played ESC from tournamix 4? soo fun) but now I have to rebuild my collection. I have about 300 songs now.

Are you guys referring to that Video Game where you get on and dance while watching the animation on screen?

doing it at home is infinitely easier than doin it on a metal pad at the arcade...especially since then you have people watching you...ya, i jus play DDR cause its pretty good cardio...btw, case you care, ive tried both high school wrestling and DDR and, by far, i think DDR is a much more physically demanding activity if you take it seriously as if it were a sport...this is one of many reasons i think videogames should replace sports and PE in our nations schools (our nation meaning America, so that excludes LC and Icedawg ;p)

You are right... DDR should be a sport, at least for those of us who play it a lot

      reached your limits?!?!?!?!

I can almost AA an 9 footer. I've AA max 300 and paranoia survivor both and I can beat paranoia survivor on extra stage. (Thats 1.5x reverse heavy no recover for those of you who don't know (and no recover means that once your bar drops down, it doens't come back up (this means you can only get 6 below good or you fail)))

I'm nowhere near my limits man. I still can't beat paranoia survivor max on oni! Keep going at it!

Artelis... you are a DDR NERD!
I think that once you can easily A any song you should then decide if it is worth your time to continue or quit.

Artelis, if you've set up a mat so that it won't slip home is so so so much easier!

I have a mat, and it slips because I can't be bothered to mount it. I'm really lazy- for example, right now there's a crisp packet that has been sat on my desk for about 3 days. I should get rid of it, but I can't be bothered.

We say sofa. Only the really posh people in England say chesterfield.

EDIT: Okay. My browser has screwed. I press reply for another topic...and the reply appears in here. Oh well.

ahhh! i knew there must have been a topic about DDR here! what works really good to keep dance mats from slipping is simply getting duct tape and taping down the edges. if uve got carpet..well, you might not want to try it then, but it'll still work. if any of you has a usename on DDRUK let me know, im none other than DarudeMaxX.

Revive a 3 year old topic, just because DDR is awesome! Not as awesome as Stepmania though! On the keyboard, AAA all the DDR songs is not even a challenge, plus you aren't dead after you do it. When you play the real keyboard songs, however, that's a different story...

I'm an extreme guy and using a keyboard is the only way to pass those songs.

I have DDR, but I really only bother playing at the arcade when I go there with my friend who's really into DDR. I can do all the average heavy songs, but I don't practice any more.

      Stepmania's pretty tight.

But who here plays ITG (In the Groove)?

Hey! I take offence to that 'ADD' quote. XD. I have ADD, and I think it's a great game. My mom loves it, because it keeps me from blowing up the yard...lol.
I have DDR Max and I use it every day.

What's the hardest song you've ever cleared?
