What the Bleep Do We Know?!

If I suddenly found out that movies were possible to be coded on DVD discs, I'd say the same uncensored phrase....

Did anybody see this documentary/cheap drama/interview? It was kinda corny, but still thought provoking. I found it predictable, prob cuz I studied lots of new age horseblunder before, but it was pretty cool. Especially with the water crystal thingy. And that experiment with thinking of the universe as possiblities...not material. The best thought they provided is when they talked about physically searching for our personality, how scientists cannot locate the "us" within the brain or anywhere else in the body, leaving us with the assumption that mind and the "self" is invisible and intangible. It points to some spiritualism, nothing wrong with that. A lot of this movie is something people who study yoga can relate to.

Any reviews from one to two stars, anybody? One awesome, and two stars being horrid? JK.

I think hes talking about that movie: "What the #$*! Do We (K)now!?"

      IMDB Link: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0399877/

I saw the trailer for this movie and thought "WOW" this looks cool, but then read somewhere its main 'ploy' is to force feed people their "New-Age" progaganda as "TRUTH".

      I might watch it though.....

We spoke about this before i believe (but couldnt find the link)

      Anyone have any insight.....

It's extremely popular of a feature film. Go to any book/video store, chances are it's there. Especially if it's a new age store.

It's an innocent attempt of melding quantum physics with spirituality that includes topics such as God, body, mind, personality, atoms, such and such, as well as time.

I only picked it up at the library, as is most publications are only worth a library pickup as opposed ot a purchase...haha, but I thought it was cool.

What The Bleep Do We Know?

I saw the movie in 2004 when it first came out. Yeah, some of it was kinda airy and New Agey. One part that made me cringe is the scene where Amanda throws away her medication. Granted, one can elevate their consciousness and grow spiritually and emotionally through many disciplines offered on this planet on which we reside . . . but I would seriously advise someone under a doctor's care for emotional and/or physical disorders to not just toss away their meds in a sudden burst of anticipated enlightenment. As for the general tone of the movie, I'd have to say that I did enjoy it. To many of us on some sort of spiritual quest, perhaps the message DID come across as a little overly-simplistic. However, it's my contention that a large segment of human beings simply don't bother to think past their televisions and morning newspapers; they simply wait to be told what to do next, hoping the person doing the "telling" is onto something. For people who are like that (and yours truly certainly once was, so I make no judgment, I'm just expressing empathy), I think that "What The Bleep . . . " was, indeed, long overdue. I liked the movie's emphasis on creating peace, something this blue globe of ours is in dire need of if we don't want to end up having the topography of the moon or mars.

I thought this was a very thought provoking documentary.
I think everyone should see it! ----Seriously

You need to watch it a few times to get it all. At least I should say, I did.

The movie was good. I liked seeing the main character walk around in Portland Oregon that's my stomping ground. Belive me when I say there are plenty of hippie chicks on the Max (the light rail system she was ridding on)

      Are you kidding me?

That's the only part of the movie I liked.

Was it over your head or what?
At least explain what you did not like. YOu can't say there was not a lot to ponder over.
