Has anyone seen The 40 Year Old Virgin?!?!?!?

I couldn't find another thread about this, maybe I didn't search properly, but whatever. SUCH A FUNNY MOVIE. For some reason I thought I was gonna be dissapointed but I was laughing every 30 seconds. You have to see it!

      Best part:

      "She's a hot grandma."

"Heck, yeah. No, do a grandma, man. You should fuck her on her plastic-covered couch. Fuck her while she watches Murder, She Wrote. She would probably find that very erotic. Fuck her and then have her send you a cheque for $12 on your birthday."

I was on the ground crying when I heard that last line.

Man, I hated that movie. I can deal with a moderate amount sexual humor, but I think that this movie was overkill in that area. Even the over-riding plot of the movie was shallow. I tried to watch this movie with my fiance and it humiliated me. Just the fact that I was watching a film that was so shallow was enough to embarrass me....Using way too much of a funny thing can really turn me off to these types of movies.

      Best comedy in years.

Steve Carrell is the funniest man alive.

      Watch 'The Office' on NBC.

I guess it just depends on your taste and type of humour. Gwendolyn, I think you said you liked Phantom of the Opera in another thread, I hated that movie! THAT movie was overkill in every way possible, I thought. I don't know, I think you just have to take these movies for what they are. If you know beforehand it's going to be loaded with sexual humour (I mean it's called the 40 year old virgin), then I would just go with it.

I agree with bradybaker - one of the best comedies in years. I can't wait to see Wedding Crashers.

Hey Gwendolyn - what do you consider a good comedy? Just curious. What's one of your favourites?

Very true, kichu. I know it's just variations on taste . The funny thing is, when I watched it with my fiance, he thought it was funny as hell just like you guys. Perhaps if I watched it again I would like it better.

One of my favourites? Hmmm....Lemme see....I have a bunch of favorites, but a few that come to mind at this moment are, I heart Huckabees and Airplane!.
