No Country for Old Men
I just recently went to see this movie, and I must say I thought it was excellent. The Coen Brothers did a real good job.
Has anyone else seen it? Its been getting rave reviews. I'm not going to give anything away, but to get people excited: the psycho killer in this movie has got to be one of the most frightening and intense characters I've seen in a picture. Javier Bardem played him great (yeah, I didn't know who he was before the movie either). Just saw the movie yesterday - couldn't resist posting about it.
The atmosphere throughout, although especially at the beginning, was fantastic. I loved the eeriness, the solitude, the helplessness, the bleakness... great stuff. I liked how brutal the storyline was in terms of the characters, and howin pretty undignified ways. There were some pretty tense moments, and a couple of jumpsSpoiler for ncfom:
. It just managed to be really involving, which is the key to success with movies.
The psychopath was awesome. I loved his character, and his odd principles; "I got here the same way the coin did" is my favourite line, I think.
Having said that, some parts didnt seem to have much of a point - for example, theI'm sure they do have a point, and a well thought out one, but it just seemed very odd when watching it.Spoiler for ncfom:
Great film tho. 9/10

Some people have all these odd analyses... one of which is that the whole thing is a dream o0 or that Anton and the Sheriff are the same people.
Anyone know about this?I am posting on topic elsewhere for the most part.
