Tin Man

Has anybody else been watching the mini-series Tin Man on the Sci-Fi channel? It started Sunday night, and is on for 2 hours for 3 nights in a row - the last one being tonight. The characters are loosely based on the Wizard of Oz, but it has a really cool storyline which is completely original, and the actors are good. I especially like the main character "DG" played by Zooey Deschanel - who has been in a couple other movies I like such as Almost Famous. The characters all meet up in the O.Z. (the Outer Zone) and are on a mission to find the emerald before the double eclipse and before DG's sister, an evil sorceress, does (there is back story to how the sister became evil and much more). I think they did a good job with the storyline - since it is sooo different than the Wizard of Oz. I can't wait to see what happens next! Anybody who likes fantasy-type shows and likes the Wizard of Oz should check it out. I'll be watching it again tonight!

It was definitely pretty interesting. It walks a fine line between really good and being standard, Sci-Fi network cheese, but I suppose I like what I see so far. ...and it doesn't hurt that the sorceress (played by Kathleen Robertson) is freakin hawt. lol

A lot of the actors in this mini-series are that way - I've seen them before but can't place where they are from. I don't watch a lot of the Sci-Fi channel - or any other shows on TV because of my work schedule, but this series is on when I've been home to watch it and I like it so far.
