The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind (FAQ)

Soon, I will be posting a Morrowind FAQ here. The completed version will be in a separate thread, so mostly i will use this one as a forum for that, and so i can post incomplete copies. Here is what I have so far

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Renegade Walkthrough

This walkthrough is to make a character like mine. I steal, sell, kill, and get better. I sleep on the road, hunt in the day. Swim through the oceans, and move in the night.
That’s how Valkry Von Durgah is so cool.

      And the best part is:
      YOU CAN TOO!!!

      Table of Contents:
      Character creation………..
      Where to go………….
List of goals to keep in mind…………
      What to buy………….
      Trial I: Steal……………..(tri1s)

      Trial I: Stealing (tri1s)
Okay. This is the first of your 5 trials to RENEGADISM. Learning how to steal. Obviously, stealing is when you walk into a store, look at something, press A, and run. NO. That is not how it goes. There are many more steps!!!

      Scout:
First, go to the shelf or pile of crap you are looking to steal and scout it by looking at all the items. A gold mine is when you find lots of items that don’t weigh too much, and are expensive. But, there are two options you have to think of. If you are raiding an armor dealer or a weapons dealer (most of the time, they are the same people…) you must think of two “piles”. The first “pile” is to keep and upgrade yourself (the easiest way to get better) and the second “pile” is to sell and earn more money. You usually do this when the items are either less protection/attack than your current equipment.

After you have searched and scouted the piles, look around for guards, Ordinators, citizens or shopkeepers. If there is a guard in sight, DO NOT STEAL. If there is a citizen in sight, DO NOT STEAL. If there is a shopkeeper in sight, DO NOT STEAL. And most importantly, if there is an Ordinator in sight, DO. NOT. STEAL. The only exception to this step is if you have Moonshine, which is a spell acquired if you decided to be born under the Serpent (I think). Also, if you have a invisibility potion, you can obviously use that.
Now, you are ready to take action.

      ACTION-
      1. Activate any invisibility potion/spell you have at your hands (unless you are upstairs.)
      2. Take, run.

      RUNNING-

Now, DO NOT COME BACK TO THAT SHOP FOR AT LEAST 3 MINS FOR SAFETY. Also, the rules of running:
      1. Don’t look back
      2. It’s best to get to a different area of the town
      3. If you have sellables, DO NOT SELL THEM TO THE PERSON YOU STOLE THEM FROM.

      SELLING-
As stated above, go to a different dealer. One of the best rules is to remember if the door says that the building is a mage guild, it will take magic stuff. If it is a clothing shop, it will but armor/clothes, etc. Also, it’s best to avoid traveling merchants that have set-up shops. I had a curiass for 380 gold, and the guy offered it for 61 gold.
Also, when Bartering, make sure to have a good plan to what you will sell, buy, keep or so on. When you have sold everything, a window should pop up having options for how much money you want to sell/buy for. Always go 2-3 higher by pressing the black button. They usually accept. If you are buying, do the complete opposite.

      That’s about it for stealing.

Hey guys, I'm back. Feels good man

Wouldn't people usually go to gamefaqs.com for game help?

You might be wasting your time here. No offence, just a thought, that's all.

And Morrowind? Wouldn't it be more useful for something a bit newer, perhaps Oblivion?

Starry starry night, paint your pallet blue and gray,
Look out on a summers day,
with eyes that know the darkness of my soul.

That's great and all... but I don't think anyone really cares about the installments of the guide. You only need one post, to link to your completed guide.

No offence but I agree with everyone else. It's a great idea but it's not really a good place to put something like that. Not everyone is going to have that game here and even if they did, I'd doubt they'd check this site for an FAQ.

      Also Oblivion is the best!

There's a place for Game FAQs

      GameFAQs

I played Morrowind. I was a black Knight, as in the skin-colour type and not the "I'll bite your bloody legs off" kind.

Became head of the legion and then realised the game wasn't that good.
