      Stand-Up Comedians...

I'm sitting here watching Chris Rock and thinking about how much I love good stand-up comedy. Comedy Central has been showing some great back-to-back comedy for the past month or two, and I can't get enough of it.

Who are some of your favorite stand-up comedians?

Haha. I've seen bill Hicks (hilarious), but that's the first time I've seen Brian Regan. That was good stuff.

I can't get enough of George Carlin.

I also really like Bill Hicks, Russell Peters, Chris Rock, Doug Stanhope, and... a whole lot of others hehe. Really depends on my mood.

      Hahaha. I love Dat Phan!

(plus many of the others listed, but I had to comment on him because he's a little less known)

And I was thinking about trying to find a link to Jeff Dunham's whole last show that I just saw on CC, a few weeks ago. (With the Ahkmed the Dead Terrorist Puppet) God, that was so funny. His puppets are the shit, especially Peanut and Walter.

American stand up gets lost in translation I think.

Bill Bailey is where it's at:

      Personally, I love Demetri Martin.

Here are some (audio only, but that's alright for his type of jokes) videos of his routines on youtube if anyone's interested.

      Jimmy Carr
      Al Murray (does he count?)
      Harry Hill,

All really great, although Jimmy Carr has that amazing body language and dry wit so funny.

Jimmy Car is fucking hilarious. He's one of my favourite amongst Jim Gaffigan (that depressed guy from that 70's show) and Dave Chapelle. His show isn't funny but his stand up sure is.

My absolute favorite comic ever would probably be Mitch Hedberg. It's a real shame he died.

O, have you ever seen a movie called "The Aristocrats"? Definitely not to everyone's taste (don't even let anyone over-hear you watching it, if they don't see the whole thing they won't understand), but it is so unbelievable, yet hilarious, it's like you can't believe you're laughing at something like that, and it's got a lot of major comedians in it. (They all tell the same joke--you just have to see it, I can't explain it.)

If you seen (and liked it) you know what I mean.

Mitch Hedburg was my favorite before his death. Right now I like Marie Bamford, Patton Oswald, and Zak Galifianakis.
