What did you think of Paul Coelho's "The Alchemist?" Did it have any affect on you?

I enjoyed it a lot. I wasn't moved by it as much as some people seem to be, but it was a great read.

It was a great read. I also recommend The Pilgrimage, by the same author.

I read that book a while back. It was actually recommended to me by Barbizzle (if he's still around?) Anyway I don't really remember much of it, I didn't partically like it but I didn't like that one dude who never went where he wanted to go so he could always look foward to going there. I think thats like the book ur talking about? Where he was like having dreams of a treasure. Oh yes and I remember the ending he went to the spot and there was no treasure and some robbers or something came along his way and he told him he was like digging for treasure he pictured in a dream and the robbers all laughed and one of the robbers said something like he had dreams about treasure too and then the main dude used the robbers dream to find the treasure. Or something.
