Thread: The Song that should've been a single instead of a latter.

Because some shouldn't have been singles in the first place.

In my opinion, singles define how well a singer or band is going to do in their musical career. If they put out a bad song, they're probably not going to get the popularity they want. If they put out a great song, then they'll go sky high in the music biz. But whether the song is good or bad depends on the person listening.

People really need to stop relying on Clear Channel and MTV for their music.

I don't know about clear channel, but MTV SUCKS. All they play now are reruns and new episodes of I Love New York and Flavor of Love.....

My point is, don't rely on mainstreem media, like radio and MTV (the only places where a "single" would matter), to bring you good music.

How would you find a new music yourself if there was no internet, if you don't rely on a mainstream?

I think you have to listen to one song to decide to see if the artist makes the style of music you like. That's how I got into the music I like today by the power of internet.

That's VH1.

Last time I checked, VH1 did not have the crap shows I mentioned. And they don't have as many crappy raps songs as MTV. Let's face it, MTV has gone downhill.

Underenigma, you made a good point about listening to see if you like the song. I think that's how I stumbled upon some of the songs I listen to.

By the way, I love those shows. They are very, very entertaining.

Sorry Snowy, UM's right. That is basically all VH1 plays. However I have to agree that they are absolutely terrible programs.
