What Are The Most Influential Electronic Artists?

Not your fav five. I want to know who has really changed the electric/techno music world. Who shaped it and made major contributions to it.

I have Daft Punk, Oval, and Aphex Twin. Who else?

By far, Mothra (in all of it's forms) is the worst kaiju of all time.

The German group Kraftwerk, while not the first to dabble in electronic music, were probably the most influential.

Thanks for the link, but I am looking for specific artists.

I looked up Kraftwerk, the sound good, but I can not find any CDs by them for under 10$. Where can I get them?

hehe, I just came into the thread to post exactly that.
They are indeed the most influential!

Then maybe Portishead..? Daft Punk.. Chemical Brothers..?
Fatboy Slim.. Björk...? Massive Attack..Depeche Mode...?

Justice and GorrilaZ are rather bands that have been influenced.

Joy Division / New Order, The Orb, Thievery Corporation, and definitely Kraftwerk.
If you have a sense of caring for others, you will manifest a kind of inner strength in spite of your own difficulties and problems. With this strength, your own problems will seem less significant and bothersome to you. By going beyond your own problems and taking care of others, you gain inner strength, self-confidence, courage, and a greater sense of calm.Dalai Lama
